Start off this year's Homecoming celebration by coming to the Ferrell Center and learning about the traditions of Baylor! Former Baylor Football head coach Grant Teaff will speak about the Baylor spirit and Neil Knighton will share the story of Baylor's Immortal Ten. At the conclusion of the event, the freshman class will be entrusted with the Eternal Flame, representing Baylor's spirit, to guard and protect until the Bonfire is lit from it on Friday night. Build the Bonfire Wednesday, Oct. 26th, 11 p.m., immediately after Freshman Mass Meeting at the parking lot between Ferrell Center and Baylor Ballpark. After hearing about Baylor's traditions at Freshman Mass Meeting, come be a part of Baylor history as the class of 2009 builds this year's Homecoming Bonfire. For decades, it has been the freshman class who has stepped up to this task, so come out and continue it by staying around at the Ferrell Center. The most devoted will have a chance to light the Bonfire Friday night at the pep rally! Freshman Camp Wednesday, October 26, immediately following Mass Meeting through Friday, October 28 afternoon at the bonfire site. Guard the Eternal Flame next to the Bonfire and take advantage of the new Freshman Camp! There will be pizza, drinks, games, and fun during all hours of the night (and day). The guarding of the flame will continue non-stop from Wednesday night through Friday afternoon, so come and camp out by the bonfire and make it a great fellowship with friends! Extravaganza!!
