20 YEARS of IPA Hungarian Section „In the heart of -”

Budapest, May 13th – 19th 2012.

Dear IPA Friends, come and celebrate with us, get known the wonders of Hungary! We await all our guests with pleasure here, „in the heart of Europe”!

Program

13th May 2012: Arrival of the guests in the Hotel Medosz (Budapest, V., Liszt Ferenc tér 9. www.medoszhotel.hu ) between 14 and 17 hours, registration, occupation of the accommodation. Welcome drink, greeting of the delegations, handing over presents, dinner in the restaurant of the hotel

14th May 2012: Official celebration and „ Budapest, you’re so beautiful!” Breakfast in the hotel, than travelling to the spot of the official celebration (National Police Headquarters), celebration, common photo, visiting the IPA exhibition, reception (uniform or IPA dress) P.m.:Visit of the Parliament, the „house of the country”, sightseeing on bus, visiting the castle and the fishermen’s bastion. Boat trip on the Danube, the magical lights of Budapest, dinner on the ship.

15th May 2012: „Wranglers, wine, amusement” Back into the Turkish times. Memories of Hungary from the Turkish domination in the 17th century –sightseeing in Eger then lunch in the valley of the Beautiful Women. Fantastic wines of the East-Hungarian region with gipsy music. In the afternoon travelling to Gödöllő, on scene of the EU membership negotiations in 2011 Visit of the castle Grassalkovich. In the evening dinner, wine music with wranglers in the Horse Park Lázár.

16th May 2012: „Balaton, the Hungarian sea and the world-famous Herend Porcelain Manufactory” Visit in the world-famous Herend Porcelain Manufactory. Producing Herend porcelain by own hands. Lunch in Balatonfüred. Walking in – with breath-taking view on the Hungarian sea. In the evening visit of the rider games, after that a medieval feast in the cellar of the Sümeg castle.

17th May 2012: „Pannonhalma- part of the World Inheritance” Visit of the Benedictine Abbey Pannonhalma, wine-tasting in the cellaring of the abbey. Sightseeing in Győr. Returning to Budapest with visiting the Heroes’ Square. Dinner in the Stefánia-palace

18th May 2012: “ See a miracle!-the beautiful Danube-bend” Shopping opportunity in the Big Market Hall of Budapest, then to the Danube bend, into the town Visegrád. Visiting the Upper Castle. Lunch in the Renaissance Restaurant. Travel by ship to Szentendre. A visit of the famous marzipan manufactory. Returning to Budapest by bus.

19th May 2012: After breakfast departure of the guests.

Our program is subject to changes! Each applicant has to fill out an Application Form.

FULL COSTS OF THE PROGRAMS: 490,- € in a double room. Extra charge for single room: 10,-€/person/day (number of places limited). Further days: 48,-€/double room/night, 34,- €/single room/night. The program cost includes: participation at each program, meals (without drinks), transfer to the locations of the programs. Costs do not include transfer from and to the "Liszt Ferenc" Airport on the 13th (arrival) and the 19th of May (departure), this will cost 10,-€/person and participants who arrive by car have to pay parking costs of 8,-€/day at the registration at Hotel MEDOSZ.

Application deadline: 15th March 2012. Advance payment – 100 EURO/person at the application. Remaining part has to be paid until. 15th April 2012. Cancellation with full refund till the deadline of the advance payment, after that date we cannot refund advance payments. (Be careful because we have a limited number of partecipants)
