ñ Dinner Dance T hanks to the generosity of long-serving member, Keith Klein, our pavilion has been named for the first time in its history. Plans are also in place to install a ‘Visiting Team’ board (something that we used to have years ago) so that spectators can see who we are playing against on match days and don’t have to interrupt the scorer to find out! There is always the opportunity for an individual, or a local company, to sponsor the installation of the ‘Visitor’ board. If you are interested, please contact the Secretary or any other member of the Management team to discuss terms. Volume 11 Issue 3 P a g e 2

The day was not only sup- ported well by guests and c o r p o r a t e partners in the marquee, Some more pictures from the day…. there were probably 300 people watching around the boundary. Many of these brought their own Bar-B-Qs and refreshments but for those who got too hot, the Ice Cream van was on hand and there were always the club’s bars which were open to all. Trade in both bars was excellent! Our facilities were much admired and the weather was sunny and warm for the most part. There was even a batting simulator on site where you could test out your batting technique against all kinds of bowlers! Lashings All Stars scored 245- 4 in their 30 overs! Kirk Edwards scored 88 from 85 balls and Usman Afzall scored his 59 from 47 balls. There was one run out and the other three wickets were taken by Richard Revell, Adam Dobson and Sam Handley. In reply, H&TCC reached 195 all out with Kevin Renecke (50 in 66 balls) hitting a very good half century, supported by Luke Smith who scored a quick fire 48 in 38 balls. Rolling back the years, John Emburey took 5 for 33. If anyone wishes to have an electronic copy of the score card, please contact Ron Curtis. Volume 11 Issue 3 P a g e 7
