Botha released from hospital

The renowned athletics coach, commentator and writer, Rufus Botha, has been released from hospital on Monday morning. Botha suffered a heart attack a fortnight ago and had been in the Universitas hospital for treatment. Botha was scheduled for a heart bypass surgery last week Friday, however, he underwent the procedure at an earlier date. The man with a passion for athletics underwent a triple bypass surgery and made such good progress that he was released on Monday. Botha will, however, be side-lined Wayde van Niekerk after breaking the men’s 400m world record at the Olympics Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
