ETHIOPIA: Areas of Humanitarian Concerns Snapshot (as of August 2014) Increasing water shortages are reported in areas that received poor belg/gu/ganna/sugum rains in Afar, Oromia and Somali regions. People and livestock are migrating looking for water and pasture. As per the revised nutrition hotspot list released on 18 August, these regions account for 75 NUTRITION per cent of the 125 nutrition hotspot priority one woredas, reflecting the impact of the inadequate seasonal rains in these areas.
