FREE CHILDRENS FILM FESTIVAL ... is slated for ONE ACT PLAYS ...directed by students are Saturday, June 8 from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Tennessee Williams' "Suddenly Last Summer" Community Conference Center. The event is spon­ directed by HOWARD WHITE,and Ed Bullins' sored by the GSU Child Care Center with balloons "Street Talk" directed by BECKY KELLER. and treats offered to attending children. While The plays are free to the public and will admission is free, donations to the Center, which run both Saturday and Sunday (June 8 & 9). hopes to open later this year, will be accepted. They will be the first dramatic events in the new University theater.

NEW SAD A TRAVELING MAN. ..Beginning June 1, the new Student Assistant Dean for CEAS is BILL CONGRATULATIONS ... to LARRY and DIANE WHITED. Bill has degrees from Thornton, CCS, McCLELLAN and their new 7 lb. 14 oz. CHLD, and is currently a grad student in CEAS daughter KARA. Mother and child are studying environmental planning. He replaces doing well. FAZE I hasn't received PAT CEBRYZYNSKI. Other Student Assistant Deans a report about the father. are: MAXWELL BENNETT, CHLD; GENE BILOTTO, CBPS; and LEO WAGNER, CCS.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM CONFAB ... sponsored by the Community Council of CBPS will be held Friday, June 14, from 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. at the Harvey Holiday Inn. Cooperating as sponsors are the Law Enforcement Commission and the Public Service Institute, City Colleges of . Speakers include Dr. STEVEN SCHILLER, Executive Director of the Chicago Crime Commission and Dr. EUGENE EIDENBERG, Chairman of the Illinois Law Enforcement Commission. Panelists include PAUL GREEN (CBPS), RICHARD ELROD, States Attorney BERNARD CAREY, Judge BENJAMIN MACKOFP, DAVID BREIERTON of the Ill. Dept. of Corrections. Dr. GAD BENSINGER, Director of the criminal justice training and leadership development program, Public Service Institute, City Colleges of Chicago is one of the conference coordinators and will moderate the panel. Other conference coordinators are LOWELL CULVER (CBPS), ROBERT KELLEY (COOP ED), WILLIAM HAMBY (Chief, Park Forest Police). Advance registration fee of $5 includes luncheon.

SHORT FAZE ! ...this week is due to the shortened Memorial Day week. In fact there were two Memor­ ial Days, depending on who you believed or where you worked.
