Tuesday, March 23rd Tokyo City Tour______6:30-8:15a.m. Breakfast at the hotel. 8:45a.m. Bus departs for TOKYO CITY TOUR, drive by NATIONAL DIET BUILDING, IMPERIAL PALACE PLAZA, and AKASAKA PALACE. 10:45a.m. Visiting TOKYO TOWER, observation deck with a 360 degree view of the city. TOKYO TOWER is 1093 ft. tall, making it the world’s highest self-supporting steel tower and the 2nd tallest man-made structure in Japan. As of 2011, Tokyo Skytree (2080 ft) is the tallest TV antenna tower in Japan. Lunch on your own at TOKYO TOWER FOOD COURT.

Saturday, March 27th Naha - Southern Okinawa - Naha______7:00 - 8:15a.m. Breakfast at the hotel. 8:30a.m. Bus departs for the Southern portion of Okinawa. We will visit GYOKUSENDO PARK, which features a large underground stalactite grotto and an exhibit on poisonous Okinawa “Habu” (snakes). Upon arrival, enter Gyokusendo Cave. It takes about 25-30 minutes to walk through the cave. .

After exiting the cave it will lead you to the tropical garden and Ryukyu Village. 10:30a.m. Watch an Eisa dance performance by local students at the cultural stage, located near the 2nd floor of the gift shop (20 minute performance). 11:30a.m. Buffet lunch (Okinawan food) at Gyokusendo restaurant located on the 2nd floor above the gift shop. 12:30p.m. After lunch, free time to shop around, go back to the cultural village or you might want to see the Eisa dance performance again at 12:30p.m. Check-out Dr. Fish inside the Ryukyu Village: cost: 5 min: 600 yen per person/ 15 min: 1200 yen per person

Will make one 5-4-4(Go-Shi-shi) stop at the Igei Service Area on the tollway. 10:30a.m MORI NO GARASU (RYUKYU GLASS FACTORY), here you will experience how to blow and make your own glass cup.

Ryukyu Glass Making My Glass Churaumi Aquarium 11:15a.m. Bus departs for CHURAUMI AQUARIUM in Motobu. Churaumi means beautiful ocean in Okinawan dialect. This aquarium features the world’s largest acrylic panel, which is sure to dazzle you with exotic and colorful fishes, whale sharks and manta rays. Be sure to ask the aquarium staff for a re-entry stamp before you leave the aquarium. Dolphin Show (1:00p.m.) at Okichan theatre, which is a few minutes by foot from the aquarium. Monday, March 29th Naha – Shuri – Tomigusuku - Naha 6:30-8:45a.m. Buffet breakfast at the hotel located on the 1st floor near the elevator. 9:00a.m. Bus departs for SHURI CASTLE. Shuri was the ancient capitol of the Ryukyu Kingdom. Visiting the “SHUREI NO MON” (Gate of Courtesy). In 1972 this gate was designated as a prefectural cultural asset. The main buildings of Shuri Castle were destroyed by fire in the night of October 31, 2019. There are plans to rebuild the castle by 2026. In the meantime, we can still go to the Shuri Castle Shops with exclusive gifts. 11:45a.m. We will then visit HIMEYURI NO TO (Star Lily Memorial). The monument was erected in remembrance of the female high school students who supported the Japanese military as nurses but were killed during the Battle of Okinawa. We will also tour the HIMEYURI PEACE MUSEUM.

GENERAL CONDITIONS for Tours to Okinawa & Japan

TOUR INCLUDES: Hotel accommodations, transfers, sightseeing, and round trip air transportation from Honolulu, economy seating. Adjustments will be made if there is an increase in taxes, fuel surcharges and any fluctuation in exchange rates between US Dollar and Japanese Yen.

AIR TRANSPORTATION: Air service within tours is included except for members purchasing the land portion only. Airfare inclusive rates are based on advanced purchase and may be subject to certain airline restrictions and penalties. Air tickets must be issued at least 30 days before departure and any changes after tickets are issued will require a minimum service charge of $500.00USD or more and a processing fee. Tickets are non-endorsable, non-transferable and refund and/or changes must be processed through issuing agent less applicable charges. Special group fares are used and there are some restrictions which apply regarding Travel Certificates, Mileage Upgrade Certificates, etc. Adjustments will be made if there is any increase on taxes and fuel surcharges.

CHANGES IN ITINERARIES: N & K Travel Service, Inc. will make every effort to operate all tours as disclosed in this document. GRATUITIES: Gratuities for the bilingual local guide, bus driver & guide are not included. The recommended gratuity for the local Japanese-English Speaking Guide is 500 Yen per person per day and for the bus driver that will be with the group, 2 days or more, 250 Yen per person per day.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE: Due to limited storage space on the motorcoach, we request that you carry only one piece of luggage and one hand carry-on bag per person during the tour. For Takkyubin (door to door delivery service during the tour), one piece of luggage will not be charged. Any additional pieces will be assessed additional fee(s). You will be allowed to check-in two pieces of luggage on your return flight home.
