The website includes a response form for comments or objections. Due to current social distancing requirements, paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the West Sussex County Council Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post. Any objections or comments about these proposals must be received by 1 October 2020. Dated this 3 September 2020 Director of Law & Assurance County Hall Chichester CHA8008RC WEST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL ((HORSHAM DISTRICT) (PARKING PLACES AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) (CONSOLIDATION NO. 2) ORDER 2006) (HIGH STREET PARTRIDGE GREEN AMENDMENT) ORDER 202* STATEMENT OF REASONS FOR PROPOSING TO MAKE THE ORDER The County Council in exercise of their powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, propose to introduce a permanent Order the effect of which will be to introduce lengths of prohibition of waiting at any time (double yellow lines) on sections of High Street, Partridge Green between South Street and Oakwood A community highway scheme is being introduced in the High Street Partridge Green. The scheme will include traffic calming give and take build-outs and uncontrolled pedestrian crossing facilities to reduce traffic speeds. There is a concern that vehicles will park adjacent to the build-outs and obstruct the visibility of pedestrians waiting to cross. It is therefore proposed to introduce lengths of double yellow lines to assist in keeping these areas clear of parked vehicles This Order is proposed for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs and avoiding danger to persons or traffic using the road, for preventing damage to the road, and to facilitate the passage on the road of any class of traffic. Plan No. TQ1919SWS shows the length of road, which is the subject of the proposed Order. This Order shall come into operation on the X day of X 2020 and may be cited as "West Sussex County Council ((Horsham District) (Parking Places and Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation No. 2) Order 2006) (High Street Partridge Green Amendment) Order 2020." 2. The “West Sussex County Council (Horsham District) (Parking Places and Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation No.2) Order 2006” is hereby amended by the deletion from it of the plan specified in the First Schedule to this Order and the substitution into it of the plan attached in the Second Schedule to this Order.
