Those St. Mary’s at Delaware State 1 p.m. North Carolina A&T at Florida A&M* 2 p.m. games have not yet been rescheduled. Florida A&M will welcome Southern Division first-place North Carolina A&T State to the Lawson Center this weekend for the third and fourth meetings of the season between the two teams. Saturday’s game will be streamed live on FloHoops. The Aggies come into the series winners of five straight, and this will be their first game since defeating the Rattlers back on Jan. 30-31. FAMU has won 11 straight home games, dating back to last season. North Carolina Central was scheduled to travel to South Carolina State this weekend for a pair of games, but those were postponed. WEEKLY HONORS, PRESENTED BY COCA-COLA Norfolk State swept the weekly honors as Devante Carter was named MEAC Player of the Week for the second straight week and GAMES LAST WEEK the third time this season. Carter led the Spartans to back-to-back wins over Morgan State this past weekend, averaging 19.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and four assists per game. Saturday, February 13 Norfolk State 74, Morgan State 69* JJ Matthews was named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after averaging 6.5 points, five boards, Sunday, February 14 and 1.5 blocks per game. He broke a school record with 182 receiving yards on just four catches, bettering the previous mark of 159 receiving yards reached in both 1986 and 1993. Late in the first quarter, Wilson caught a pass from Jack Lanham and took it 85 yards for a touchdown. He currently leads the NJAC in yards per catch (19.2). DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK ANTHONY LAROSA • Rowan University Senior • Linebacker • Sewell, NJ/Washington Township LaRosa becomes the third different Prof to earn NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors this season after keying a defense that kept CNU scoreless in the second half to set up Rowan’s come- back 27-23 NJAC road win. He had a team-high 13 tackles, with 10 solo stops and 2.0 tackles for a loss. He also recovered a fumble with just 23 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to seal the win on a play in which the CNU offense had 1st-and-goal. LaRosa is currently tied for second in the NJAC in tackles for a loss (11.0).
