Gold Coast to host $50 million Chinese business event
The Gold Coast will host one of Australia's biggest ever business events when more than 8,000 employees from Chinese company, Infinitus, come to Queensland in 2018.
Tourism and Major Events Minister Kate Jones was in Guangzhou today to announce the Gold Coast had won the week-long business event that would generate more than $50 million for the state.
"Gold Coast Business Events collaborated with Tourism and Events Queensland and Tourism Australia to beat national and international competition for the staff incentive program of Infinitus, one of China's largest personal health care companies," Ms Jones said.
"This will be one of the largest conference groups to visit Australia, and the biggest the Gold Coast has ever hosted.
"Our state is also one of China's favourite business and holiday destinations.
"Travellers from China make up our largest international visitor market and we are honoured to be able to host so many visitors to Queensland.
"In the last year more than 280,000 Chinese visitors travelled to the Gold Coast alone, making the city one of the favourite destinations in Queensland."
Ms Jones said securing this event offered a great opportunity to showcase the Gold Coast and the state as a premier tourism and events destination.
"The Infinitus China program will bring thousands of Chinese business delegates to Queensland and showcase our diverse tourism experiences to the growing China market," she said.
"This is a great example of collaboration between Tourism and Events Queensland, Tourism Australia and Gold Coast Tourism to secure a major business event for Queensland and grow our tourism industry."
Infinitus General Manager spokesperson Mr Jacky Hu said company representatives were looking forward to working with Queensland to create a memorable experience for delegates.
"We are truly amazed at the endless choices we have to help us put together a one-of-a-kind business travel incentive holiday for our delegates. Already, we are very impressed by the attentiveness of Tourism Australia and Gold Coast Tourism," Mr Hu.

Do not think that the beneficiaries only to visit relatives in Australia, "frequent flyer" crowd, in the "4.0 depth experience of the times," into the destination community's personalized itinerary is the best of most tourists, with 10 years to sign, Come on. "Those years" to this day and today Remember the tourism industry has just started, "Tourism 1.0 era," fly only "a visit" to return big sun "according to standard interest" has to inspire envy; until "2.0 Leisure Time", public demand has not And then stay in a simple sightseeing, "on the train to sleep, get off camera" in the form of boring, so that visitors can further explore the destination before the "suction road." For the dissatisfied tourists, the destination is always digging deep trend trend - so now most of the tourism products have transition to the "3.0 resort-type model", the journey to stay time to relax, feel the destination of leisure Atmosphere. With the increase in people's travel experience, more and more personalized needs, the industry recently proposed for the depth of experience, "4.0 concept": into the local community, to experience the local lifestyle will be the future tourism trends. Can not wait to start their own "4.0 journey"? Yang said that in a variety of visa positive, in fact, where to go is very convenient; but it comes to a foreign destination of the "tourist treasure" up to the "digging and digging", Australia should be the first: Southeast Australia, East and West Australia, South Australia, Western Australia and other regions, all have a lot to play. lfeng.com — Reached 21.896 million people /Ea ATIVER&I; *AV+ IMMICE-liZSVh 20 161P I I 13 24 H cr.1::30 5rdq: WS1121: MOgE X**X-13:44: IIIMICEV!:01-0A QM; [2016-11-24] AM.: [B10] : [MIT • [)(111/]N] 2018PRVA11.1Worcii.triji WA1M- -2AjdEl1A§.,, 0:1=1 ATR1.e V-rigifit*JER4"..11:J", 4141.1 1FYAliM20-18 *91-1aviiitM H [1/011.
