Much like it is on television in general, is a dominating presence in San Diego, with its first-ever booth on the show floor, an activation space at the Hilton Gaslamp and signage all over downtown San Diego.

Netflix seems to be focusing on three programs at Comic-Con: Marvel's The Defenders, launching Aug. 18 and bringing together the four lead characters from its four Marvel shows: , , and ; Stranger Things, which premieres its second season on Friday, Oct. 27; and fantasy theatrical Bright, starring Will Smith and Joel Edgerton, which debuts on the service in December.

To kick off the weekend, Netflix hosted a press preview of its activations at the Hilton Gaslamp, with all three of the above programs on display.

Fans of Stranger Things, and those are legion, got to walk through two rooms dedicated to the show. The first room showcased sets and props from the show, including a shrine to dear, departed Barb (yes, #Justice4Barb is a thing) and all of the characters' costumes, including the frilly dress the boys give to Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) to help her pass in society more easily.

The second room includes Joyce Byers' (Winona Ryder) living room complete with the lights Will's mom sets up to try to communicate with her missing son in the other dimension the show calls The Upside Down. Inside of that room is a virtual reality experience that does not result in your capture and removal to that scary, other-dimensional world, but it certainly feels like it could. A 360-degree video of the experience is above, although it's more immersive with virtual-reality goggles and headphones.

Over in the Bright room, Comic-Con attendees can dip into the world of the movie, which premieres on the service in December. In Bright-an alternative of the present day in which fantasy creatures such as orcs, elves and fairies live among us-two L.A. cops find themselves fighting a prophesied turf battle. To experience that world, attendees can fight with a sword of light - and take a video home of themselves to prove it - get a spray-on temporary tattoo and see some of the movie's fantastical sets and costumes.

Finally, Netflix is prepping to premiere Marvel's The Defenders, the long-promised collaboration between the four stars of its four shows. Signage for The Defenders is all over the Con, and the streamer's booth on the show floor includes an activation for it.
