HNB (NV) was the highest contributor to the week’s turnover value, contributing 7,180 2,890

Browns Invstmnts followed suit, 7,040 2,820 accounting for 13.14% of turnover (value of LKR 0.86Bn) while Royal Ceramic 6,900 2,750 contributed LKR 0.72Bn to account for 11.06% of the week’s turnover. Capital Goods Industry Group was the highest contributor to the week’s total turnover value, accounting for 25.46% (or LKR 1.66Bn) of market turnover. Industry Group’s turnover was driven primarily by Royal Ceramic, JKH and which accounted for 77.37% of the sector’s total turnover. Banks Industry Group meanwhile accounted for 20.35% of the total turnover value while Food, Beverage & Tobacco Group contributed 19.61% to the weekly turnover. The Food, Beverage & Tobacco Industry Group dominated the market in terms of share volume, accounting for 35.25% (or 138.72Mn shares) of total volume, with a value contribution of LKR 1.28Bn. The Diversified Financials Industry Group followed suit, adding

29.35% to total volume (115.52 Mn shares) while Capital Goods Industry Group contributed 8.89% (34.98Mn shares) to the weekly share volume.

Net Foreign Position | Foreign investors were net sellers this week with total net outflow amounting to LKR 1.07Bn relative to last week’s total net outflow

of LKR 2.06Bn (48.0% W-o-W). Total foreign purchases increased by 58.7% W-o-W to LKR 0.49Bn from last week’s value of LKR 0.31Bn, while total foreign sales amounted to LKR 1.56Bn relative to LKR 2.37Bn recorded last week (-34.2% W-o-W).
