C&WH 21 December 2013 County Council MO 91702 THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA DF (C3055 SLEAGILL, NEAR 14 x 1 PENRITH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2014 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable S Taylor Plant Hire to carry out sewer renewal connections works on behalf of Mr and Mrs Parkin, the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the C3055 Sleagill, near Penrith from its junction with the C3053, extending in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 70 metres to a point adjacent to the property known as ‘Hawthorne House’. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be available as follows:- South Bound Vehicles - From the north end of the closure, travel west along the C3053 for 2.8km to its junction with the U3238. Turn left onto the U3238 and proceed in a south easterly direction for 2.2km to its junction with the C3055. Turn left and proceed along the C3055 in an overall north easterly direction to . Continue along the C3055 in a north westerly direction for 1.76km to the south end of the closure. North Bound Vehicles - Travel in the reverse direction of the above. The Order will come into operation on 13 January 2014 and may continue in force for a period of up to eighteen months from that date as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that it will only be required for 5 days.
