1.1 Effective Schools Outreach programs which links schools to club/association Hookin2Hockey.

1.9 Doubling of registered Hookin2Hockey participants (clubs & individuals) from 2016 to 2018.

1.10 Increase Hockey SA School Outreach participants from 3,000/year in 2015 to over 10,000/year by 2020.

1.11 Increasing Sporting Schools participant numbers.

1.12 25% increase in SAPSASA teams from 2015 to 2020.

1.13 Increasing number playing alternative form of the game.

1.14 Member cultural diversity matches South Australian community.

2.1 Seek input from clubs/associations on priorities and develop resources to improve their governance consistently across the sport.

2.2 Stronger working relationships with Clubs & Associations to develop safe, welcoming, sustainable sporting environments inclusive of people of all ages, abilities and cultures.

2.3 Review and update the current model of affiliation by 2017.

2.4 New clubs identified and developed in areas of existing low hockey access and future population growth within .

2.5 Review the potential to establish a regular Club Development Conference with speakers and training/forums that adds value to club leaders.

2.6 Help clubs to diversity revenue streams and manage costs. To ensure future sustainability.

OUTCOMES - METRICS

2.7 Health, diversity and sustainability of existing clubs.

2.8 Make available template policies, web content, grant details and support that helps resource clubs to grow.

2.9 Improving Net Promoter Score in the Office for Recreation & Sport 3-yearly survey, and the Hockey SA survey as recognised by members.

2.10 At least two new clubs formed in Adelaide by 2020.

2.11 Net growth in membership of 7% by 2020 over 2015 levels.

*Net Promoter Score is a loyalty metric that gauges how willing a member is to recommend a product or service.

3.1 Continue to improve the format and sustainability of existing State Championships and implement new events based on a gap analysis.

3.2 Increase the standard and spectatorship of the Metro Premier League competition.

3.3 Work with government and Hockey Australia to attract national/international hockey events to South Australia.

3.4 Review the structure of metro competitions to ensure growth and sustainability.

OUTCOMES - METRICS

3.5 Complete review of Championship model in 2018 with changes to be implemented from 2019.

3.6 Increasing number of spectators at Premier League Fridays and finals.

3.7 International hockey played in SA by end of 2019.

3.8 Junior competition review completed, actions implemented and growth in numbers attained.

4.1 Implement and continually improve an Athlete Development Program that creates nationally recognised athletes and high performing state teams.

4.2 Implement and continually improve a Coach Development Program that provides greater depth of quality coaches.

4.3 Develop and implement a State Umpire/Technical Official Development Program that increases both the quality and quantity of umpires/technical officials in the sport.

4.4 Maximise our partnerships with high performance units including Hockey Australia, SASI and University/research bodies; as well as sponsorships and partnerships that reduce the cost of participation.

4.5 Ensure that all equipment and resources utilised for State High Performance programs are current, leading edge and maintained at a high standard.

OUTCOMES - METRICS

4.6 South Australian athletes to make up a minimum 8% of all Hockey Australia Junior and Senior National Teams and National Development Squads by 2020.

4.7 More than half of SA teams finishing in the Top 4 at National Championships by 2020.

4.8 At least one South Australian umpire/technical official at every national championshipby 2020.

4.9 Increasing participation in umpire/technical offical pathways.

5.1 Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders such as: Government, SAPSASA, Secondary Schools SA and sponsors.

5.2 Hockey in South Australia to be a recognised leader in the creation of safe, welcoming and inclusive hockey environments.

5.3 Provide a leadership role in helping to improve participant safety and risk management.

5.4 Adopt a strategic approach to metro and regional facility priorities and advocating to government for improved facilities in line with Statewide Facilities Strategy.

5.5 Implement new Satellite Stadium Agreements with six main turfs by 2017 and other clubs with facilities by 2018.

5.6 Continually improve the State Hockey Centre facilities, in partnership with government, as the premiere venue in South Australia.

5.7 Diversify revenue streams and manage costs to improve financial sustainability.

OUTCOMES - METRICS

5.8 Hockey SA to be regarded by ORS as top quartile South Australian sport in terms of its governance.

5.9 Data measured on player injuries and strategies implemented to reduce injury rate over time.

5.10 Existing facilities renewed and new facilities developed in metro and regional areas in accordance with priorities.

6.1 Improve systems development and technology platforms to enable better, timely and targeted communication.

6.2 Build the profile and following of SA Hotshots and SA Suns teams outside of existing hockey participants.

6.3 Increasing coverage in mainstream media.

6.4 Recognise the value contributed by hockey volunteers within promotional campaigns.

6.5 Create relevant content – including video – to promote the game online (social media).

6.6 Link hockey promotion to other initiatives and campaigns of government to maximise impact.

6.7 Increase profile of South Australian hockey greats including: online, through awards and other recognition.

OUTCOMES - METRICS

6.8 Increase in open/engagement rates on electronic direct mail.

6.9 Increased profile of the sport online & through the media (growing web & social media followers/hits/views).

6.10 At least 35 clubs involved with Destination Hockey.

6.11 30% increase in number of award submissions and awards received from 2016 to 2020.
