And a decent Controller Assignment system allows a true rendition of the original performance control. - ARP 2600 duophonic semi-modular synthesizer - ARP Odyssey duophonic synthesizer - ARP ProSoloist monophonic Preset synthesizer - ARP Quadra monophonic and para-polyphonic ensemble synthesizer - ARP Omni string synthesizer Each Program Preset provides the sound with standard Controller assignment which is the same for the most Program Presets, plus a ready-to-use Drum Pattern and one KARMA setting. Program Preset bank: location User-GG. 70 sample instruments provided with 80 ready-to-use Program Presets. General Controller and FX Assignment Each one of the 80 Program Preset provides the sound with smart Controller assignment. Sophisticated Controller programming for Control Knobs 1-8, S1 and S2 switches, Ribbon, Joystick Most important is the Ribbon where the Brilliance of a timbre is always under your instant control. The default middle position is the average setting and a slide to the right is giving more treble to the sound, to the left less brilliance. Moving the Joystick down allows a sound modulation, up adds vibrato to the sound. SW1 transposes one octave down while SW2 locks the currently selected Ribbon position. Indeed, from a position of relative obscurity when he arrived in New York in 1959, he went on to become one of contemporary jazz’s most prolific and commercially successful composers. The main focus of this dissertation will be Zawinul’s rise to prominence in American jazz during the 1960s and 1970s.

  • ARP Axxe – Small Is Beautiful “Welcome to the ARP AXXE Electronic Music Synthesizer
ARP Axxe – small is beautiful “Welcome to the ARP AXXE Electronic Music Synthesizer. Your AXXE will take you on the most important experience of your musical career. The AXXE synthesizer will broaden your creativity and expressivity and it will open to you the new world of synthesized sound. With the AXXE you can create musical textures that are new to this world, distinctly yours.” (ARP Axxe User Manual) Interesting – ARP praises the creation of musical textures “new to this world”. So what do you actually need the ARP-2600 for … ? Single-VCO version of the Odyssey As a cut-down version of ARP’s successful Odyssey, the Axxe hit the market in 1975. It only features one VCO (admittedly a very nice one) and has reduced modulation possibilities. Compared to other companies ARPs release of its smallest synthesizer came very early. Moog did bring out the Micromoog at the same time, but that instrument was no success at all. Highly successful cut-down synthesizers were released a couple of years later – like the Prodigy (1979) and the Rogue (1981). Sequentials Pro-One and Oberheims OB-1 were not out yet, but these instruments can hardly be seen as cut-downs. They are single products in every respect. | 1 ARP Axxe – small is beautiful People might tend to look at the Axxe as second-rate. But be careful there: although the features are limited, the sound is truely ARP high quality analog sound! Sonically, the Axxe is actually not too far away from the 2600, Odyssey and Avatar! Power and flexibility may be somewhat greater on the state-of-the-art 2600, but still: the Axxe is a lovely ARP synthesizer in its own.

String orchestra sounds, brass choruses and heavy organ sounds are just a few of the numerous multi-oscillator effects LITTLE BROTHER makes possible. When connected to multi-voiced syn thesizers like the ARP ODYSSEY or 2600, several instrumental sounds can be pro duced simultaneously. No matter what ARP synthesizer you own, LITTLE BROTHER will be a welcome addition. Like all ARPs, your LITTLE BROTHER is "human engineered." Every part of the instrument - from the logically arranged control panel right down to the shape and feel of each slider and switch - has been designed for maximum playing ease, performance and dependability.
