The Federation of Young Socialists of Côte d'Ivoire is an autonomous organization of young people whose main missions, like all the movements of young socialists and progressives throughout the world; is to train young people in the values of citizenship such as democracy, solidarity, sharing, the fight against social discrimination. Movement created since September 2016, the Federation of Young Socialists of Côte d'Ivoire brings together several youth organizations; including nongovernmental and humanitarian organizations whose main objectives are the promotion of equality, support for the most marginalized, including young people and children. Our main objective is to fight for peace, democracy, justice, the rights of the child, education, international solidarity, capitalist excesses; in Ivory Coast, in Africa and in the world.

20. What are the political aims/objectives of your organization?
the political objectives of the Federation of Young Socialists of Cote d'Ivoire is to fight for democracy, fight for equality, justice and freedom for all in Ivory Coast, in Africa and all over the world
21. What are the organizational aims/objectives of your organization?
the organizational objectives of the Federation of Young Socialists of Cote d'Ivoire are to found a more just and equitable Ivorian society. Make youth leaders to enable the advent of the new Ivorian nation.
22. What are your main fields of activity?
The main fields of activity of the Federation of Young Socialists of Cote d'Ivoire are: -Training and political training for young people -Feminist training for young girls -Organization of Conference debate -Political university for young people
23. What have been your political priorities in the last two years?
last year our political priorities were: -Recruitment of new members -Intensification of the fight for justice and democracy in Ivory Coast -Defense of the Rights of the Marginalized (LGBTI Community)
24. Do you organise campaigns? On which topics?
From April 2018, we organized the campaign 'Acting for All' to denounce the injustices faced by the LGBTI community in Ivory Coast and Africa. We have joined this campaign several organizations of the Ivorian civil society
25. Do you organise seminars? On which topics?
We organized several seminars on democracy, youth engagement in politics in Cote d'Ivoire, tolerance of LGBTI people. We organized these seminars with the support of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Ivory Coast

We have submitted several candidatures to the legislative and municipal elections. We have councilors, we fight to enter parliament in 2021

We do not share the same opinions on several topics (the problem of immigration in Ivory Coast) but we often had to fight political struggles together

Yes, we have some of our members who are part of the National Youth Council we do not have a particular role

We are an autonomous youth movement. Our ambition is to unveil in a few years a socialist political party

The last elections were in October 2018. We participated in camapgnes and presented candidates
33. Can you describe the political situation in your country? What is the composition of the Left? How much does the Left receive in the polls?
the Ivory Coast has experienced civil war and is directed since 2011 by the liberal regime of Alasane Ouattara. We denounce a deprivation of freedoms. The Ivorian left is deeply divided since its loss of power in 2011 and the incarceration at the International Criminal Court of Laurent GbaGbo, the President of the Ivorian Popular Front, the main left-wing party of Cote d'Ivoire. We young people campaign for the advent of a new left more committed and democratic

the main left-wing parties of Cote d'Ivoire are: -The Ivorian Popular Front -The Ivorian Workers Party -Union of the Social Democrats of Ivory Coast The games evolve according to their nleaders. No promotion of ideology. The Ivorian left is divided and does not seek to unite until the approach of presidential elections

After now more than 2 years of existence; collaborations with IUSY member organizations, participation in IUSY (Campaign Against Tax Evasion); the Federation of Young Socialists of Cote d'Ivoire is more than ever ready to join IUSY. We are ready to commit ourselves to the promotion of socialist ideals in our country and all over the world.
