LTC William L. “Bill” Platte, USA (Ret.) currently serves as the VP of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for METOVA Federal developing and managing cyber training for new and existing clients. He works with DoD, Academia, and Commercial entities across the globe to develop training capabilities to enhance cyber readiness with a concentration in delivering high fidelity, user-defined, on location cyberspace training range platforms. He has a passion to train and educate operators to be the best cyber network engineers in the world. He served in the Army from SEP 1995-SEP2018 having numerous assignments as both a Signal Officer and a Modeling and Simulation Officer. His duty assignments include: Officer in Charge (OIC) of Fort Gordon’s Cyber Battle Lab’s Cyber Enterprise Security Center, The Cyber and Electromagnetic Activity (CEMA) Future Experimentation Branch, and the CEMA Modeling and Simulation Branch. Cyber Liaison Officer, Combat Analyst and Simulations officer at the TRADOC Analysis Center (TRAC) in Monterey, CA. Knowledge Management Officer and Simulation Officer for a four-star HQ’s in VA. Served in Afghanistan with 1st CAV and 1ID during Operation Enduring Freedom, Army Experimentation lead for Plans and Policy Division Fort Eustis VA, Training Officer for the Command and General Staff College , KS, The 2nd Infantry Division G3 Training and Exercise Chief Uijongbu, Korea, Secretary General Staff Fort Gordon, GA, Quick Reaction Force Commander after 9/11, Signal Company Commander A/447, Signal CO, Executive Officer E/369 Fort Gordon, GA, Signal Platoon Leader for the four-star Commander in Chief of US Forces Korea Command Post TANGO Seoul, Korea. He received his BS from North College, ME from Troy State University and a MS from Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA.
