Conference games still tied after a five-minute overtime advance to a three-player shootout with the team that wins the shootout receiving an extra point in the standings (SW in the standings). A shootout win then is worth two points in the standings while the team that loses the shootout receives just one point for the tie. Teams will play a 24-game league schedule.
