HILTON HOTELS MILESTONES 1919 Conrad Hilton purchases his first hotel, The Mobley, in Cisco, Texas. 1925 Conrad Hilton builds the first hotel to carry the "Hilton" name: "The Hilton," in Dallas. 1938 Hilton operates first property outside Texas: The Sir Francis Drake in San Francisco. 1942 Hilton moves its corporate headquarters to Los Angeles. 1943 Hilton becomes the first coast-to-coast hotel chain in the United States with the purchase of two hotels in New York City: The Roosevelt and The Plaza. 1945 Hilton becomes a major national force in the hospitality industry with the purchase of The Palmer House and The Stevens (now the Chicago Hilton and Towers). The latter was then the largest hotel in the world. 1946 Hilton Hotels Corporation is formed and listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE:HLT), with Conrad N. Hyatt Announces Plans for a Park Hyatt Hotel in Brazil 9/3/2014 Park Hyatt Foz do Iguaçu will become the first Park Hyatt hotel in Brazil CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management services agreement with 5 Star Empreendimentos Imobiliários Ltda for a Park Hyatt hotel in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. Park Hyatt Foz do Iguaçu will become the first Park Hyatt hotel in Brazil and is expected to open in 2017. Park Hyatt Foz do Iguaçu will be located in the city of Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná in southwest Brazil. The city is home to Iguaçu National Park, a world heritage site that is world-renown for its waterfalls aptly named Iguaçu Falls. The national park shares its borders with Paraguay and Argentina, making it a coveted resort, eco-travel and meetings and incentives destination. The hotel will be an important component of a mixed-use development that will be situated on a 98-acre parcel of land located on the riverbank of the Iguaçu River. The development will also include 30 Park Hyatt-branded two and three-bedroom homes, residential sites for single-family homes and a 25 acre protected nature reserve. Park Hyatt Foz do Iguaçu will offer the brand’s signature personalized services with 170 luxury rooms and suites, four restaurants and bars, a spa, a fitness center, an outdoor pool, and more than 16,146 square feet (1,500 square meters) of meeting and event space. EXTERIOR REVOLVING DOOR Show general natural action of people going in and people coming out but in it is the definite inference of people arriving and people leaving the big hotel. MOVE INSIDE THROUGH THE REVOLVING DOOR -- very quickly. CAMERA PAUSES ON THE THRESHOLD like a human being, seeing and hearing. DISSOLVE OUT. DISSOLVE INTO: Clock. It is twenty minutes to one -- and then moves slowly into the crowd of busy mid-day business jumble. CAMERA pushes through crowd and passes by the foot of the steps that lead up to the restaurant. In its journey, it passes Kringelein looking up. He is not pointed. THE CAMERA then saunters -- getting a slow profile movement across -- near Senf's desk. Senf is very busy. THE CAMERA now passes -- profile -- the desk of Senf. General action. Senf stands before his background of slots and keys. WE PROCEED until we are facing the elevator.
