Jerusalem – Events Following ’ Crucifixion & Resurrection

Acts 1:4-5 (NIV) 4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."

Acts 1:12-14 (NIV) 12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day's walk from the city. 13 When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 20 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. 21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'

2. If not, are you willing to make that commitment this evening?

BAPTISM 1. Have you been scripturally baptized (by immersion), after you made your commitment to Jesus?

2. If not, are you willing to talk with me about scheduling a time to be baptized?

PRAYER 1. Is prayer a major part of your daily life?

2. Do you have a specific time and place where you regularly get alone with God?

3. If not, would you be willing to set up a daily appointment with Jesus?

WITNESSING 1. Have you ever shared your “God story” with anyone?

2. Who do you know well enough, that is not a Believer, that you could tell your “story?”
