Thermal Power Location Features Station
Uri Dam is a 480 MW hydroelectric power station on the Jhelum River near Uri in Baramula district of the Jammu and Kashmir region administered by India.
The station is largely built under a hill with a 10 km tunnel. Lower J & K Jhelum It is of the run-of-the-river type without a large dam, since the Indus Waters Treaty gives Pakistan the exclusive right to regulate the Jhelum River.
On 4 July 2014 a 240 MW Uri-II power project was inaugurated.
Kalakote is Tehsil Headquarter of Rajouri District and is comprised of 68 villages and 0.75 lac population as per DISNIC Survey 1995.
The main livelihood of the people is agriculture and allied activities.
Kalakote J & K In the beginning of 50s, a Thermal Power Station was established at Kalakote keeping in view the available coal resources.
But after commissioning of this project, it was found that the coal available at site was not suitable for the project due to which, the project is closed at present.

Panipat Thermal Power Station I is located at Panipat in Haryana.
The power plant is one of the coal based power plants of HPGCL.
The first four units was bifurcated from the total 8 units of the plant, so that to form Panipat Thermal Power Station I and II.
Panipat Thermal Power Station I has an installed capacity of 447.80 MW. The First unit was commissioned in November 1979.
In order to improve the performance of the all four units of the plant, the Renovation and Modernisation has been started.
Badarpur Thermal Power Station is located at Badarpur area in NCT Delhi.

It is one of the power plants of NTPC. Anta Rajasthan The gas for it is sourced from GAIL HBJ Pipeline - South Basin Gas field, and its source of water is the Chambal River.

Kota Rajasthan Kota Thermal Power Plant is Rajasthan՚s first major coal-fired power plant.
It is located on the east bank of the Chambal River near Kota.
Kota Thermal Power Station has received Meritories productivity awards during 1984, 1987,1989, 1981 and every year since 1992 onwards.
Gandhinagar Thermal Power Station is a coal-fired power station in Gujarat, India.
It is located on the bank of Sabarmati River near Gandhi Gandhinagar. Gujarat Nagar Gandhinagar thermal power station situated at the right bank of river Sabarmati is mainly constructed to meet with power need of North Gujarat and to improve the voltage condition of the Western Grid.

Sabarmati Thermal Power Station is coal-fired power plant.
It is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Sabarmati Gujarat The first power plant at this site became operational in 1934 with installed capacity of 37.5 MW (2x3.75MW and 4x7.5MW) .
In the place of original power plant, new power plant came up with installed capacity of 422 MW (1x60MW, 1x120 MW and 2x121MW) .

Sikka Thermal Power Station is Gujarat՚s one of coal- fired power plant.
Sikka Thermal Power Station is located near Jamnagar, Sikka Gujarat which is the major industrial town in Gujarat.
There are two units of 120 MW capacity each. Two 250 mW plant on construction.
NTPC Kawas is located at Aditya Nagar, in Surat district in the Indian state of Gujarat.
The power plant is one of the gas based power plants of Kawas Gujarat NTPC.

Gandhar Gujarat NTPC Jhanor-Gandhar is a gas-based power plant run by National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) , located at Urja Nagar, in Bharuch district in the Indian state of Gujarat.
The power plant gets its gas from the Gandhar Gas field, and water from the Narmada River.

Ukai Thermal Power Station of the Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited, India, is a power station with an installed capacity of 850 MW.
It is one of Gujarat՚s major coal-fired power plants, located on the bank of the Tapi River. Ukai Gujarat Ukai Thermal Power Station is located on the banks of the Tapi because of the water resources, along with the hydro electric power plant with the same name.
Ukai TPS Unit-1 is the first power station unit in India with a capacity more than 100 MW.
Trombay Thermal Power Station is a coal-based thermal power plant located at Trombay near Mumbai in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
Tata Power owns the power plant.
Trombay Power Station was established in 1956 to provide power to the city of Mumbai. Trombay Maharashtra Unit 5 (500 MW) and Unit 8 (250 MW) are run on coal, Unit 6 on oil, and Unit 7 on gas.
Tata has proposed converting the 500 MW Unit 6 from fuel oil to imported coal, and submitted a draft environmental impact assessment report for the proposal in October 2012.
