Als legendäre Stimme von Supertramp und Komponist der größten Hits der Band schrieb er Songs wie ”Give a Little Bit“, ”The Logical Song“, ”Dreamer“, ”Take the Long Way Home“, ”Breakfast In America“, ”It’s Raining Again“, ”School“, and ”Fools Overture“ und viele andere mehr.

  • Roger Hodgson Supertramp - Radio DJ Fact Sheet 2009
Roger Hodgson Supertramp - Radio DJ Fact Sheet 2009 Hello DJ – I’d love your support to spread the word about Roger Hodgson, the singer and composer of most of the Supertramp hit songs played on the radio for the last 30 years. Roger is an active touring artist, so when you play one of the Supertramp songs Roger wrote and sings, please let your listeners know Roger Hodgson is the voice they have been hearing all these years, the original voice of Supertramp. Below are some facts about Roger’s songs recorded with Supertramp (more info on www.RogerHodgson.com) Breakfast in America • Breakfast in America to date has sold over 20 million albums and was the top selling album worldwide in 1979. 2009 marks the 30th anniversary of the album • According to Billboard back in 1994 - BIA was ranked the #22 selling LP of the Seventies. • It was in the top 200 chart for 88 weeks, 48 weeks in the top 40, 26 weeks in the top 10, and of course 6 weeks at #1. Logical Song went to #6. • The LP was # 1 in the USA for 6 weeks. • Release date of the LP was March 29, 1979 - 11 days later it went "Gold." • Although Roger and Rick shared joint writer credit throughout their years together with Supertramp, they actually wrote separately. The mastering disc of "Breakfast in America" is the only instance where Roger is credited with his own songs, and Rick his own songs. It is easy to tell the composer of the songs as Roger sings all the songs he wrote, and Rick sings the songs he wrote.

  • Pophistoriens Mest Originella Band – Supertramp SUPERTRAMP ÄR ETT BAND AV SIN TID
