Dead Mouse Album Download Free dead mouse album download free W:/2016ALBUM/ Deadmau5's eighth offering, W:/2016ALBUM/, is one of Joel Zimmerman's more focused works, relying on deep grooves that demand an extended listen. Named after the computer directory where he stored the tracks-in-progress, W:/2016ALBUM/ arrived two years after the atmospheric soundscape exercise of 2014's while(1<2). More life is injected into W:/ -- making it a more enjoyable listen -- but the experimental ethos remains. "Glish" sounds like a Kid A castoff dragged through a meat grinder, while "Whelk Then" is a Buddha-Bar lounge jam that is floating in the blackness of space. Exciting ideas pop up on nearly every song, but sometimes they go nowhere or show very little sign of progression. This makes W:/ a rewarding journey for the patient, but not as immediate for those looking for a 4x4=12 physical experience. The closest Zimmerman comes to those festival-sized bangers is "Imaginary Friends" and the relentlessly throbbing "Three Pound Chicken Wing." Instead, the uptempo songs toe the line of progressive house and trance, mostly avoiding the unsubtle and aggressive nature of mainstream 2010s EDM. Album opener "4ware" sparkles and "Deus Ex Machina" hypnotizes, while the disco space-funk of "Cat Thruster" thumps and throbs. "No Problem" is Zimmerman's take on the Daft Punk/Justice sound, while "Snowcone" finds him wandering into the dubby corners of trip-hop. Even though he later dismissed the album as slapdash and scattershot, Zimmerman nonetheless produced a worthwhile listen. Fans will appreciate the new directions and there's enough on W:/2016ALBUM/ to introduce curious new listeners to the mutable world of the mau5. Dead Mouse Smell in Your House? Born (January 5, 1981) and raised in Ontario, Canada, Joel Zimmerman is a Progressive House/Minimal Trance and Techno Producer and DJ. His personal label is called Mau5trap Recordings and was born in 2007. The name deadmau5 (pronounced dead mouse) comes from an incident where a mouse crawled into Joel Zimmerman's computer. Dead mouse was too long for a site login name so he abbreviated it to be "deadmau5". His first official release dates back to 2000 under the alias Dred And Karma. He produced and remixed more than 300 tracks since about 2005, the same year he released his first album under the name deadmau5 "Get Scraped". Deadmau5 first gained popularity in 2008, when he released "Random Album Title" signed by Ultra Records and Ministry Of sound for the European country. "Faxing Berlin", "I Remember" and "Not Exactly" were the main hits and with that album he change the ways of american progressive house and electro house in general. Since 2008 his popularity has grown exponentially with them following one another "For Lack Of A Better Name" in 2009 and "4x4=12" in 2010. During the years he always remixed some tracks and produced music with other friends: BSOD (2) together with Steve Duda and WTF? with also Tommy Lee and Chester Deitz. His albums between 2008 and 2010 contains some of his bigger hits and deadmau5 was acclaimed and wanted all over the world. In 2010 he also launched his personal Cube Live tour composed by a big led cube and a led 'mau5head' where he performs with live set and instruments like Moog voyager, Nordlead etc. Since then he has completed many more live tours with various versions of the Cube, with the most recent being the Cube 3.0 tour which began in late August 2019..

As synthesizers became available to the public, it became commonplace for a musician to create their own instruments using hardware and software. By the early 2000s, a digital audio workstation piece of software allowed a musician with a laptop to have access to the tools of a record producer. All these tools changed how music is made. They increased the work of a musician by massive skills of complexity, and this ultimately gave rise to new genres and new ways of creating music. Creating electronic music on the computer today is a practice much like software engineering. Iteration, modularity and software architecture skills are required to build a song intelligently. Music engineering also requires working at numerous levels of abstraction; the synthesizer level, the song arrangement level, the mixer level and the design of melodies. Dom Kane is a musician and sound engineer who writes music for Mau5trap, a label started by Deadmou5. He's built software synthesizers. He's worked with numerous artists. He’s a producer. He's written music for film and TV. He joins the show to talk about working as a professional electronic musician.
