Girls on the Run Southern Utah used a grant of $7,200 to support 30 girls in their participation in the Girls on the Run program as well as provide them with proper shoes. The program is run as a three-part, 20 lesson curriculum that teaches life skills through dynamic, conversation-based lessons and running games.

With a $90,000 Community Grant from the IRONMAN Foundation, wounded, COMMITTED TO SUPPORTING injured, and ill members of the community were able to receive the support they need. The Boulder Regional Fire Training Center received a $5,000 grant to purchase equipment that was utilized by training firefighters in structure firefighting to enhance their skills and professional PUSH development.

The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center used a $10,000 grant from the IRONMAN Foundation to help offset the costs of swim lessons for The Kroc Center’s Third Grade Swim Program. Prior to the establishment of The Third Grade Swim Program, nearly 90% of students in the North Idaho counties had never received lessons. In 2015, 1,096 students were able to participate in the program and learn critical water safety skills.
PRIOR TO THE THIRD GRADE SWIM PROGRAM, 90% OF STUDENTS HAD NEVER RECEIVED SWIM LESSONS.
In 2010, the wear blue: run to remember organization was founded with a mission to build a running community that honors the service and sacrifice of the American military. Working to act as a support network, serve as a living memorial, and bridge the gap between the military and civilian community, the wear blue: run to remember organization has created four programs to help further their mission. With the $1,200 grant from the IRONMAN Foundation, the Gold Star Race Program was able to sponsor an athlete to participate in the 2015 Marine Corps Marathon. GRANT SPOTLIGHTS: IRONMAN WISCONSIN

The IRONMAN Foundation community grant given to the City of Panama City Beach Parks & Recreation Department has had a huge impact on The Miracle League, a baseball league for those with special needs. Those ages 3 years and up with any type/degree of physical or mental impairment can participate in The Miracle League. With the $6,200 grant, a water fountain and bottle filling station with handicap accessibility was built next to the field.
The City of Panama City Beach Park Department was also able to expand the PCB conservation park and bring in new educational resources to the community. The grant allowed the park to create an enclosure for waif Gopher Tortoises, the only such park in northwest Florida. Gopher Tortoises are a keystone species that over 350 species depend on because of the burrows that they create. GRANT SPOTLIGHTS: IRONMAN LAKE PLACID
Led by parent volunteers, the Lake Placid Outing Adirondack Birth to Three Alliance (BT3) of the Club (LPOC) strives to provide safe, positive, lifelong Adirondack Foundation used their $2,500 grant to learning experiences for youth through wilderness support the operations of certified daycare centers activities. Education for Tomorrow Alliance (EfTA) was able to create Future Focus, a program for students NEVER from Montgomery Junior High Schools, as a result of a $10,000 IRONMAN Foundation grant. With a mission to bring business leaders to educators, to then mentor students for tomorrow’s workplace, GIVE UP!! Future Focus impacted 825 youth to see their future success. A Career Connections panel was also created from the IRONMAN Foundation grant.

IRONMAN CHATTANOOGA: CHATTANOOGA AREA FOOD BANK The Chattanooga Area Food Bank (CAFB) feeds over 50,000 families each week within the Chattanooga Region. The Ambassador team raised $26,846 to help further CAFB’s mission of bringing nourishing food to the people of the region who have the need and courage to seek help. During race week, the team also helped the Food Bank organize food donations.

FIREHOUSE SUBS PUBLIC SAFETY FOUNDATION:
In 2005, Firehouse Subs created the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation with the mission of providing funding, life-saving equipment, and educational opportunities for first responders and public safety organizations.
In 2015, the IRONMAN Foundation and the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation teamed up to provide over $117,000 in grant funding within seven IRONMAN race communities for first responders to purchase life- saving equipment.
MOVE FOR HUNGER: By teaming up with moving companies, Move for Hunger arranges pickup and delivery of unwanted, unopened food directly from homeowners, companies, and events and delivers this food to local food banks. In 2015, Move for Hunger hauled away 50,000 lbs of food for delivery to those in need from IRONMAN events, which equated to over 41,000 meals.
