GREEN BELT DEVELOPMENT PLAN M/S BALMUKUND SPONGE & IRON PRIVATE LIMITED (MEGA DIVISION) Green belt is an effective tool for control of air pollution, abatement of noise and to maintain an aesthetic environment within the plant premises. The green belt acts as a sink for the pollutants released from the industry. M/s Balmukund Sponge and Iron Private Limited (Mega Division) has already initiated the green belt development programme since its inception. Green belt has been developed over an area of 5.7 acres of the total land area. There is further proposal for development of green belt over an area of 3.0 acres making a total area of 8.7 acres (33% of the land) Plantation has been developed along the plant boundary, along the road side, avenue plantation and garden.
