Wednesday 29 June 2011 Watty Grahams GAC, Glen, Maghera, Co. Derry Feile Corcaigh 2011 DAY 1: WEDNESDAY 29th JUNE 2011 Time Location & Activity 10:00am Meet at Glen Social Club, Maghera, Co. Derry: Meet at social club, making sure everyone is dropped at club and then there will be mass held in the club before departure. 11:00am Leave Glen Social Club, Maghera, Co. Derry: Journey time (via Belfast & Dublin) to Toughers Restaurant, Newbridge, Co. Kildare should be 3 or 3 ½ hours, which includes one pit stop. 14:00pm/14:30pm Arrive at Toughers Restaurant, Newbridge, Co. Kildare: Expect about 1 ½ hours to have meal and get all kids back on and off the bus and get legs stretched. 16:00pm Depart from Toughers Restaurant, Newbridge, Co. Kildare: Journey time to Douglas, Cork should be 2 ½ hours, we will be going via Jack Lynch tunnel and onto the southern ring road in Cork city. 18:30pm/19:00pm Buses to split. 18:30pm/19:00pm Arrive at Douglas GAA (Boys Team) & Mayfield GAA (Girls Team): The boys are being hosted by Douglas GAA and they head there, while the girls are being hosted by Mayfield GAA. Meet and Greet host families and kids assigned will head off with designated host family. 20:45pm Depart from Douglas GAA (Boys Team) & Mayfield GAA (Girls Team): The boy’s & girl’s bus will head to holiday homes in Ballincollig, Co. Cork at whatever time they choose. 21:15pm Arrive at Farran Lee Holiday Homes, Ovens, Ballincollig, Co. Cork Some useful directions to the holiday homes. At Sarsfield Road Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto South Ring Road - N25 (signposted South Ring West). At Bandon Road Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the N25 (signposted South Ring West). Continue forward onto the N22 (by-passing Ballincollig) until the end of the dual carriage way is reached. Approximately 1 mile after the dual carriage way ends turn right at the point where two pubs (Podsies, Dan Sheehan's) are directly across the road from each other. Immediately veer right and travel approximately 1 mile on this road where Lee Valley Golf and Country club will be located on your left hand side. END OF DAY 1 Watty Grahams GAC, Glen, Maghera, Co. Derry Feile Corcaigh 2011 DAY 2: THURSDAY 30th JUNE 2011 Time Location & Activity 08:00am Team buses to depart from Farran Lee Holiday Homes, Ovens, Ballincollig, Co. Cork Both the boys and girls team buses will depart and head to Douglas and Mayfield respectively. 12:30pm GROUP MATCH 1: Glen (Boys) v Douglas The game will take place at St. Michael GAA Club, Mahon, Co. Cork 12:30pm GROUP MATCH 1: Glen (Girls) v Mayfield The game will take place at Mayfield GAA Club. 14:30pm Food & relaxation: Host Clubs, should be providing food for each team. 17:00pm Parade: Team buses to pick up both teams from host clubs and head to the designated parade drop off. The latest to be in Cork City is 6pm, no cars are allowed in the vicinity. Parade is expected to start at 7.30pm. The Parade Itinerary will be as follows: o 6:00-6:30pm, Buses arrive at designated drop off points o 7:00pm All Parade Participants to be in the Mardyke GAA Pitch. o 7:30pm Parade leaves the Mardyke o 8:00pm First Teams arrive at Grand Parade o 8:30pm Last Teams arrive at Grand Parade o 9:00pm All Teams depart from Grand Parade/Beamish 21:00pm Parade: The parade will finish and pick up will happen and transfer back to host clubs and then to Ballincollig. END OF DAY 2 DAY 3: FRIDAY 1st JULY 2011 Time Location & Activity 08:00am Team buses to depart from Farran Lee Holiday Homes, Ovens, Ballincollig, Co. Cork Both the boys and girls team buses will depart and head to Douglas and Mayfield respectively. 10:00am GROUP MATCH 2: Glen (Boys) v Sarsfields (Kildare) The game will take place at St. Michael GAA Club, Mahon, Co. Cork. 10:45am GROUP MATCH 2: Glen (Girls) v Watergrasshill The game will take place at Mayfield GAA Club. 11:00pm GROUP MATCH 3: Glen (Boys) v St. Michael’s, Mahon The game will take place at St. Michael GAA Club, Mahon, Co. Cork. 11:30am Skills Competition Venue(s) Girls (Mayfield) & Boys (to be confirmed). 12:45pm GROUP MATCH 3: Glen (Girls) v Dungarvan (Waterford) The game will take place at Mayfield GAA Club. 12:30pm GROUP MATCH 4: Glen (Boys) v Aghada The game will take place at St. Michael GAA Club, Mahon, Co. Cork. 17:00pm/18:30pm SEMI FINAL MATCH: Glen (Boys) v TBC The game will take place at Nemo Rangers GAA Club, Cork City. SEMI FINAL MATCH: Glen (Girls) v TBC The game will take place at Ballincollig GAA Club. 20:00pm/21:00pm It will be expected some form of entertainment from host clubs. For the Girls, Mayfield are proposing to hold a Disco at Riverview Fitness Centre, Mayfield (TBC). END OF DAY 3 DAY 4: SATURDAY 2nd JULY 2011 Time Location & Activity 08:00am Team buses to depart from Farran Lee Holiday Homes, Ovens, Ballincollig, Co. Cork Both the boys and girls team buses will depart and head to Douglas and Mayfield respectively. 12:00pm to FINAL MATCH: Glen (Boys) or Glen (Girls) 16:00pm The games will take place at either Páric Uí Rinn or Páirc Uí Chaoimh both are in Cork City. 12:00pm or Departure time from Ballincollig: 17:00pm It will be dependent on progress of Glen teams.
