Countrypop starlet Karen McDawn drops the second single from her album 'To The Moon And Back' together with the music video. 'After The Rain' is an empowering and emotional song about parting, leaving and being left behind, and conquering the grief. The message is hopeful and as such the best message we can send out to the world in these times.

“After The Rain the storm's a memory The sky is clear, the air is fresh it's time to plant a seed After the rain life begins anew it's time to grow time to show the world what I can do”

About the album: To Karen McDawn, country music is like storytelling, preferably from real life experiences. Her new album 'To The Moon And Back' features a lot of these stories and most of them center around love.

“Each song is the narration of a portion of my life as a loving woman and I can tell you, a lot of it was really bad. Still, each end- ing is a new beginning. There’s a truth here that I learned in life as well, that’s what 'After The Rain' is all about. There are also hymns on the album dedicated to love itself, and to the modern woman in love.” Stream album Download press kitt Download album cover Download logo

Musically Karen McDawn inspired by some of the greatest artists in Coun- try music: Sara Evans, Martina McBride, Mindy McCready and Jo Dee Messina. “If I had to put a name on it, I’d call it modern country, country rock or classic-rock-pop-country.” - Karen McDawn

Karen McDawn is not only talented and graced with a unique Country-es- que vocie, she's also complimented on her debut album by some of the best musicians Nashville can offer, like Brent Mason, Ric McClure, Tim Ak- ers, Justin Moses, Kevin Moore and Duncan Mullins. Brent Mason, who has just been introduced to the Musicians Hall Of Fame also wrote one of the songs on the album. 'After The Rain' though is written by Bud Tower (who wrote what became hit songs for Hank Williams Jr. and Lynyrd Skynyrd) and Jennifer Johnson.

“This album is 100% Karen and it’s apparent from the first to the last song!” she says about her baby, that’s been fully recorded and pro- duced in Nashville TN.
