Box 226, Chauncey, OH 45719-0026+ We are Not Safe or Secure Unless and Until... 57 The Ahmadiyya Gazette, USA November-December 2015 Six Claims of the Holy Qur’ān ہ ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ ہ ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ ت ٰ ِاّلل لقد ارسلنٓا ِآٰلی اُمم ِمن قب ِلک فزین لُھ الشیطن اعمالُھ فھو ولِیُھ الیوم ولُھ عذاب مال ِی ومٓا انزلنا علیک ال ِک ہتب ِا َّٰل لِتب ِِٰی ل ُھ َٰ ِاّلی َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ٍ ٰ َ َ َ َ َٰ َ َ ُ ُ َٰ ُ َ َ َ ُ َ ُ َ َ ُٰ ُ ُ َ َ َ َ ُ َ َ ٌ َ ٌ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ُ َ َ َ ُ ُ ْ ْ ْ ً ْ اختلف ْوا ِفی ِہ وھ ًدی و رحمۃ لِٰق ْو ٍم یؤ ِمن ْون )النحل ٓایت ۶۵،۶۴( َ َ ُ ﻻ َ ُ َٰ َ َ َ ُٰ ُ َ Commentary by Ḥaḍrat Khalīfatul-Masīḥ II (may Allah be pleased with him) [16:64, 65] Allah, the Exalted, has presented here six claims in these verses. First claim is that the messengers had been coming before the Holy Prophet Muhammad (may peace and ہ ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ By Allah, We verily sent Messengers to the ت ِاّلل لقد ارسلنٓا ِآٰلی امم ِمن قب ِلک :blessings of Allah be upon him). Allah says َ ٰ َ َ َ َ َ ُ َ ٍ ٰ َ َ nations in the past. ْ Then there was decadence set on those nations. People created flaws فزین لُھ الش ْی ہطن اعمال ُْھ :The second claim is َ َ َٰ َ َ ُ ُ َٰ ُ َ َ َ ُ in the teachings given to them and started assuming their sensual fantasies as rosy. It is in the nature of man that he first commits an excess and then forges arguments in its favor. Ḥaḍrat Khalīfatul-Masīḥ I (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “I asked a thief whether he felt ashamed while committing thefts. In reply he said, ‘In fact our’s is a lawful earning. We access valuables putting ourselves in danger and we have to undergo extreme hardship and labor. Therefore, what we get is lawful for us.’” It appears that thieves also give valid reasons to justify their thefts. Therefore, people commit excesses and then fabricate arguments in its favor. The matter of the fact is that God has put good virtues in human nature, which admonish him on bad deeds. As man cannot tolerate persistent guilt, ْ That Satan portrays their actions in a فزین لُھ الش ْی ہطن اعمال ُْھ :he finds valid justifications for his deeds. God says َ َ َٰ َ َ ُ ُ َٰ ُ َ َ َ ُ beautiful manner and when people are accustomed to bad deeds, they start assuming that what they did was right. ْ ْ That this trait is not yet over. All the nations are in the same state of mind فھو ولِیُھ الی ْوم :Third claim is that َ ُ َ َ ُٰ ُ َ َ even today. Till now the effect of this satanic action is there and it’s curse is continuing. The distortion once created, can only be removed by God and no human being can do anything to eliminate it. ْ ْ .Due to this weakness they are in danger of falling into Hell ولُھ عذاب الِیم :The fourth thing stated in Qur’ān is َ َ ُ َ َ َ Therefore, it is the mercy of Allah which longs to help them. The fifth item stated is: ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ وما انزلنا علیک ال ِک ہتب ِا َّٰللِتب ِٰی ل ُھ َٰ ِاّلی اختلفوا ِفی ِہ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ُ َ ِ َ َ ُ ُ َ َ ُ In such condition, it is necessary for God to open the door of mercy. When his people went astray, the old revealed books became affected, and then God again opened the door of His mercy [in the past]. Therefore, O Prophet! God sent down this scripture on you so that you may tell them the real teachings about which they differed and went hither and thither, and eliminate distortions. The sixth thing mentioned is that this book not only eradicates the distortions of the old books but also has stated additional teachings in it. It describes not only the mistakes of the previous teachings and philosophies but also mentions principles which could possibly not come in their minds. These are of two kinds: ْ ً ْ ھ ًدی و رحمۃ لِٰق ْو ٍم یؤ ِمن ْون ۔ ُ َٰ َ َ َ ُٰ ُ َ One is the Guidance and the others are His Mercies. The Guidance from Him means development of mental and intellectual behavior whereas the mercy means progress of practice embodiment and day to day comforts. It also means that in Qur’ān we find not only means of intellectual development but also practice aspects of daily routine. These are the matters for which all religions and entire philosophies endeavor to acquire. These instructions are very well documented in Qur’ān, that is, guidance as well as mercy. The 3-day event, which was attended by more than 3,100 people from across the United Kingdom and abroad, was held at the Baitul Futuh Mosquecomplex in south-west London. During his address, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad referred to the fact that Majlis Ansarullah was celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2015. His Holiness said that the anniversary would only be worthy of celebration if it led to a moral and spiritual improvement amongst the members of the auxiliary organisation. Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said: “Celebrating the 75th anniversary of Majlis Ansarullah will only prove beneficial if it is a means of increasing your bond with God Almighty and motivates you towards self-analysis and spiritual reformation. If however, the anniversary only entails superficial celebrations or temporary improvements then there will be no benefit.” Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad continued: “In the overall scheme of things 75 years is not of itself a huge period of time or especially significant. The ALC is an annual gathering for Zu‘amā, Nāzimeen and National ‘Āmila to review Majālis’ planned activities for the entire year, with specific targets to be achieved during the year. The forum is used to engage in intellectual discussions on ways to become more efficient and productive. More than 85 delegates from 57 Majālis attended this event. Volunteers from LA East, LA West and LA Inland Empire worked hard to make this event successful. All the attendees stayed at the Mosque. By the grace of Allāh everything was smoothly executed. The program started on Saturday morning with the recitation of the Holy Qur’ān by Naveed Malik, followed by a poem recitation by M. Dawood Munir. After the Ansār pledge, Sadr Majlis Ansārullāh USA, Wajeeh Bajwa addressed the delegates and briefly highlighted the purpose of this conference and ALC program. The first session concluded with Dua (Silent Prayer) led by Sadr Majlis Ansārullāh. Sadr’s Opening Address In his very brief opening address, Sadr Majlis welcomed the delegates and highlighted the ALC program overview and objectives. In a proposed response to the jury’s report expected to be approved by county Supervisors on Tuesday, the officials, acting in their capacity as the governing board of the Inland Counties Emergency Management Agency, say research is required. “This recommendation requires further analysis, specifically a discussion involving the various stakeholders on the costs, feasibility and various possible approaches to addressing the concerns upon which the recommendation is based,” the Supervisors’ response said.
