Project Location: The project site is located at the southwest corner of Leslie Street and Centennial Street within Los Alamos Community Service District (LACSD) owned park, known as Ferrini Park. The area where the project would be located is used as a picnic area. The project site is located in the northern portion of Santa Barbara County, in the unincorporated town of Los Alamos. Los Alamos is located approximately 20 miles south of Santa Maria, 20 miles east of the Pacific Ocean, and about 50 miles north of Santa Barbara. The project site is located on the northwestern corner of Ferrini Park, addressed as 175 Bell Street, Los Alamos (Assessor Parcel Number 101-152-008). In its entirety, the park is 0.22 acres in size, although the proposed groundwater well and supporting equipment would be contained in an 816 square foot portion of the park. The park is accessed directly from Bell and Centennial Streets. The County of Santa Barbara Zoning Map identifies the property as REC – Recreation Zone. Figure 1 depicts the regional location of the project site and Figure 2 depicts the project site within Los Alamos. Figure 3 provides a site plan illustrating the various components of the proposed project. Figures 4a and 4b provide photographs illustrating existing conditions at the site. 5.
