1. 1. The game schedule will determine the home or away team. Home team will be listed second and will occupy the 3rd base dugout. Home team will take the field first (defensive). 2. A team must have at least eight (8) players to start and continue a game. Late arrivals must be added to the bottom of the batters line-up. 3. Nine (9) players are allowed defensively. 4. Courtesy runners are allowed for pitchers and at any time. The courtesy runner must be the player last out and the official notified. Gameplay 1. Game length is 90 mins. No new inning will start after 80 mins. No team may intentionally delay the game. 2. No extra innings in case of a tie and No FOREITS! 3. A team’s turn at bat ends after three (3) outs or when six (6) runs have been scored 4. All players must play two (2) defensive innings in each game. Free bench substitutions are allowed for all defensive positions (except pitcher) and must be done between innings. 5. The infield fly rule is in effect when there are less than 2 outs and runners on 1st & 2nd or 1st, 2nd & 3rd. (Except for Softball 9-11 division) 6. A pitcher once removed from the pitching position they may not pitch any more in that game. 7. A dead ball will be declared by the . If an overthrown ball goes in the dugout or out of play the base runner will then advance to the next base. Gameplay– Batting 1. Bunting is allowed • (AGES 9-11 ONLY) Batters MAY NOT advance on a drop third strike. • (AGES 12-14 ONLY) Batters MAY advance on a drop third strike. 2. Batters must make contact with the ball in the batter’s box. Contact outside of the batter’s box will result in an out. 3. A batter hit by a pitched ball will get an automatic walk to first base.

Gameplay– 1. If a base runner intentionally removes their helmet it is an automatic out. • (Softball 9-11 ONLY) Base runners may take a lead off once the ball has crossed home plate. • (Softball 12-14 ONLY) Base runners may take a lead off once the ball has left the pitchers hand. • (Baseball ONLY) Base runners may take a lead off before the ball has left the pitchers hand. 2. Base runners must avoid contact with the fielding the ball and the live ball. must remain clear of the base path if there is no play. 3. Intentionally running into an infielder who is fielding the ball will result in an automatic out. 4. If a fielder not fielding the ball interferes with a base runner, interference will be called and the runner will be awarded the next base. 5. Stealing is allowed. The runner has from the time the ball crossed the plate to when the catcher throws the ball back to the pitcher to attempt the steal, however once the catcher has thrown the ball back to the pitcher (inside the pitchers circle) the runner must be on the their way to the advancing base or back to their original base. NO “DANCING BACK AND FORTH.” One (1) warning will be issued, after warning runner will be called out. • (Softball 9-11 ONLY) A runner may steal 2nd or 3rd after the ball has crossed home plate. • (Softball 12-14 ONLY) A runner may steal 2nd, 3rd or home after the ball has left the pitchers hand. • (Baseball ONLY) Base runners may steal before the ball has left the pitchers hand. 6. Runner may advance only (1) base on a wild pitch/passed ball behind the catcher. 7. Runner may advance only (1) base on an overthrow. 8. If a play is made on an advancing runner after the overthrow and another overthrow occurs, the runner may try to advance to the next base. 9. If a play is not made on the advancing runner after the overthrow, the runner must stop after one base. 10. Once the ball is thrown back to the pitcher at the conclusion of a play, or a dead ball is called, all base runners must return to the previous base if they are not at least halfway to the next base. 11. Sliding is allowed, but not mandatory. NO head first sliding allowed (diving back to a base is allowed). Players must avoid contact with opposing player by either sliding or moving out of the way. Players receiving the ball must leave room for player to touch base unless you are in the act of fielding the ball. This a judgment call by the official. 12. Courtesy runners are allowed for pitchers and catchers at any time. The courtesy runner must be the player last out. 13. A dead ball will be declared by the umpire. If an overthrown ball goes in the dugout or out of play the base runner will then advance to the next base.
