ABDO College 2018-19 (04/18) ABDO College Student Accommodation ABDO College Student Accommodation is a converted barn on the Godmersham Park Estate in easy walking distance of the College. This delightful barn is set in its own grounds with ample parking. Fourteen comfortable en-suite bedrooms (11 single rooms and 3 twin rooms) provide private space whilst communal living, cooking and dining areas provide the opportunity to make friends, eat, relax and study together. The kitchen is well equipped with cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, pots and pans, fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave and dishwasher. A self-service breakfast is supplied of cereal, eggs, bread, yoghurts and milk along with tea and coffee. A washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board are also available for student use. The lounge has a flat-screen television and DVD player and there is a Wi-Fi connection for students to use with their own laptops/tablets. All bedding and towels are provided and the Housekeeper provides a daily service to ensure that the accommodation is clean and welcoming. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Rural Housing Enabler (RHE) undertook a parish wide survey to ascertain if there are shortfalls in affordable housing provision within the parish of Wye with Hinxhill. The survey also sought to identify the needs of older households of all tenures needing to downsize/move to more suitable accommodation. This report provides overall information as well as analysis of housing need. A survey was posted to every household within the parish in July 2018. 1200 surveys were distributed with 387 surveys being returned, representing a 32% response rate. Analysis of the returned survey forms identified that 75% of respondents are owner occupiers. 55% of respondents have lived in the parish for over 10 years.     Canopy Cover Assessment Kent Districts and Medway Executive Summary Canopy cover describes the area covered by a tree or shrub when viewed from above, including the leaves, branches and stem. Canopy cover is a two-dimensional metric, which can be used to quantify the spread of tree cover across an area, this method, however, does not measure understory vegetation. Assessing the spatial extent of a district and establishing a baseline dataset is an important step in the management of our natural environment and can assist planners, policy makers, foresters and communities to recognise the benefits provided by green infrastructure and its importance in community planning, sustainability and resilience. This dataset may be used to target resources to the areas that most need it. This study estimates tree canopy cover in Kent’s Districts using BlueSky data and the i-Tree analysis and assessment tool. Estimates of canopy cover for each ward, as well as each district’s total were calculated. The results provide a snapshot of current tree canopy cover and a baseline for comparison with future surveys. The average canopy cover of Kent and Medway is estimated at 17% and the canopy cover of the districts are as follows.
