• June 6, 2011 - Brgys Tibagon and Malapalway Pantukan, Compostela Valley Province were affected due to the overflowing of Maubog Creek but the floodwaters subsided after three (3) hours) • June 7, 2011 – Brgy Kingking and Brgy Tagbanua were also affected in Pantukan due to the overflowing of canals

Region XII • June 1, 2011- Sixty seven (67) barangays were affected in Carmen, , Kabakan, M’lang, Libungan and Banisilan, North due to the overflowing of Pulangui River • June 4, 2011 – Five (5) barangays were affected in , Province namely: Madanding, Pinguiaman, Sadsalan, Tinumigues and Udtong

ARMM • June 1, 2011- Forty eight (48) brgys were affected in seven (7) municipalities of : (7), Datu Mondawal (11) and Sultan Kudarat (10); (4); (6); (9); and (1) • Pagalungan River and Rio Grande de Mindanao/Tunggol River overflowed due to run-off waters from the highlands of Bukidnon in Region X Floodwaters in most barangays of Sultan Kudarat have reached up to chest-deep due to heavy rains since June 7, 2011 and eventually resulted in the overflowing of the Simuay River at 2:00 AM this morning. Classes in both private and public schools at all levels in Sultan Kudarat and adjacent Sultan Mastura remained suspended as of this date

C. SUMMARY OF EFFECTS

Casualties • Three (3) persons, identified as Roberto Argoncillo Jr. (15 yrs. old), Romel Argoncillo (14 yrs. old) both of Poblacion Libungan and Rudy Aperdo of Fort, Pikit were reported dead in North Cotabato

Affected Population • A total of 33.006 families/ 173,366 persons were affected in 135 barangays and 19 municipalities in five provinces namely: Bukidnon; Davao del Sur; Sultan Kudarat, North Cotabato Province and Maguindanao.

• The population affected in Kalilangan, Bukidnon during the June 6,2011 incident is 1,210 families /6,710 persons disaggregated as follows: children (3,350), Adult (2,688) and Elderly (672)

Damages Region XI • A total of 65 hectares of agricultural land planted to coconut, banana, coffee and mango and 21 heads of livestock (3 cows, 15 goats and 3 carabaos) were affected in Matanao, Davao del Sur and ¼ hectare of corn was also damaged in Pantukan, Compostela Valley

Region XII • Thirty-six (36) houses (24 totally and 12 partially); 11 school buildings; personal belongings, utensils, food stocks and crops (corn and palay) were damaged in Carmen, Pikit, and M’lang, North Cotabato

Status of Roads in Sultan Kudarat • Portion of the National Highway at Marhaban area in Brgy Salimbao, Sultan Kudarat is impassable to light vehicles as floodwaters reached up to waist deep at some 300-meter stretch, causing inconvenience to the motorists and commuters travelling to and fro and Davao City

II. ACTIONS TAKEN

Region X Bukidnon • PDRRMC Bukidnon provided initial food assistance to the affected families in the form of thirty (30) sacks of rice, six (6) cartons of sardines and six (6) cartons of noodles • MDRRMC Kalilangan held an emergency meeting on June 1, 2011 and conducted rapid damage and needs assessment (RDANA)

3 • MDRRMC DANA Team validated the number of households affected, damaged houses, agriculture, and infrastructure • LGU provided food assistance to the affected families • PDRRMC Bukidnon extended augmentation assistance to the flood victims in terms of food, clothing, and utensils • MDRRMC Kalilangan conducted rapid damage assessment and needs analysis on June 6, 2011

Region XI Davao del Norte • MDRRMC concerned conducted damage and needs assessment • Respective local DRRMCs have extended food assistance to the affected families • Out of the 12 houses affected in Hagonoy, six (6) have been demolished by the LGU and prepared for the transfer of 6 families/26 persons affected to the relocation site

Region -XII North Cotabato • PDRRMC Cotabato and MDRRMCs Carmen, Pikit, Kabacan, Libungan and M’lang conducted damage and needs assessment in respective areas of responsibility • The Provincial Government of Cotabato distributed 71 bags of rice and 22 boxes of sardines in the area and provided PhP5,000.00 worth of financial assistance to the dead victims • The local government of Pikit provided 100 bags of rice and 32 boxes of sardines to the affected families

Sultan Kudarat • OCD XII coordinated with the Naval Forces-Eastmincom for the use of watercrafts and navy personnel in the evacuation of residents and with the DSWD XII in the provision of relief assistance • OCD-XII and PDRRMC Sultan Kudarat coordinated with the Tacurong City SAR Team (TRACER-CDRRMC Tacurong) and army reservists for evacuation and SAR operations • PDRRMC Sultan Kudarat and MDRRMC Lambayaong conducted damage and needs assessment to determine the actual number of families affected and extent of damages • MDRRMC Lambayong has prepared the 1,400 families in Barangay Udtong ready for evacuation to the gymnasium of Barangay Sadsalan • DSWD XII will provide 1,000 family food packs for the affected families

ARMM Maguindanao • RDRRMC-ARMM has been closely monitoring other flooded localities in Maguindanao and providing early warnings and advisories to all local DRRMCs within the area of responsibility, in close coordination with PAGASA Cotabato Station ; coordinated with the PDRRMC Maguindanao and MDRRMCs concerned to fast track relief and rehabilitation efforts; conducted an ocular survey in Pagalungan and Datu Montawal on June 2, 2011, headed by General Loreto

4 Rirao, Special Assistant to the CDA; and distributed 50 sacks of rice and other relief items to the flood-affected families in barangays Gayonga and Damablak in Northern • DSWD-ARMM facilitated relief operations in close coordination with PA (6ID, 602 Bde and 40 ID) for use of vehicle in transporting relief goods and with GHP-CCCH to ensure and maintain ceasefire protocols as AFP units might be passing thru the MILF strongholds in Kabuntalan area; distributed 1,020 food repacks; 300 pcs Malong; and 3 sacks assorted used clothing to Pagalungan; and 1,660 food repacks rice, noodles and sardines to Sultan Kudarat • DOH and DSWD put up assistance centers at Brgy Bulalo as the AFP units (5SFBN and 37 IB-PA), local PNP and volunteer groups assisted the commuters to pass “to and fro” at the flooded portion of the National Highway (Cotabato- Davao Route) • The Office of the Regional Governor (ORG-ARMM) through the DSWD ARMM distributed food and other relief items • PDRRMC Maguindanao Officials (Provincial Administrator Engr. Abdulwahab Tunga and Provincial Engr. Abdulradzak Asim) met on June 2, 2011 to discuss and determine the level of PDRRMC’s intervention in flood-stricken areas • MDRRMCs Montawal and Pagalungan and BDRRMCs concerned facilitated the evacuation of 50 displaced families as they continue to assess the status of other affected families and the losses on agriculture, infrastructure and houses . • The of Pagalungan convened on June 2, 2011 for the declaration of said municipality under a State of Calamity • MDRRMC Datu Montawal distributed 26 sacks of rice and assorted food items to the displaced families and conducted damage and needs assessment • MDRRMC Sultan Sa Barongis distributed 30 sacks of rice; 100 sacks of rice; 16 boxes noodles; and 10 boxes sardines • MDRRMC Sultan Kudarat extended assorted relief assistance
