CS30 5A Tappa Girodonne, Polesella-Molinella Tiffany Cromwell beffa le velociste con una fuga d'altri tempi A Molinella ci si aspettava una volata di gruppo, invece l'autraliana Tiffany Cromwell a sorpresa ha vinto in solitaria dopo una fuga d'altri tempi. 115 km da sola, sotto un caldo torrido attraverso le zone del Polesine e la città di Ferrara, che le sono valsi la conquista della quinta tappa del Giro D’Italia Femminile Internazionale. La portacolori della GreenEdge AIS è scattata al km 23 e ha raggiunto un vantaggio massimo di 13'10", vestendo addirittura per qualche chilometro la maglia rosa virtuale. «É stata una giornata lunghissima e davvero dura, ma ne è valsa la pena. La nostra squadra non ha una velocista quindi non avevamo altra scelta che attaccare. All'inizio non pensavo di potercela fare, invece è andato tutto per il meglio» racconta la giovane di Adelaide, che venerdì prossimo compirà 24 anni proprio al GiroDonne. A distanza le risponde la campionessa del mondo Giorgia Bronzini (Diadora Pasta Zara), che regola il gruppo aggiudicandosi la seconda piazza davanti alla giovane Valentina Scandolara (Sc Michela Fanini Rox). «Era lei la più forte, non potevamo mica portarla noi al traguardo. Io ho messo due mie compagne davanti a tirare insieme alla MCipollini, ma ormai era troppo tardi. Ci riproveremo domani!». Unanimi i complimenti alla protagonista di giornata che arrivano non solo dalle sprinter rimaste a bocca asciutta, ma anche dalla maglia rosa Marianne Vos. «É stata bravissima, dietro non siamo andate a spasso. Se l'è meritata tutta!» ha commentato l'olandese già vincitrice di tre tappe in quest'edizione. Domani altra tappa per velociste, da Modena a Salsomaggiore Terme, per un totale di 108,9 km. Un'altra preziosa occasione che le migliori sprinter al via del GiroDonne2012 non possono lasciarsi sfuggire.     25 Jahre Rund um die Nürnberger Altstadt 1 Grußwort des Oberbürgermeisters Dr. Ulrich Maly Der Radsport hat sich wie kaum eine andere Sportart in den letzten Jahren zur Freizeitbeschäftigung weiter Bevölkerungskreise entwickelt. Dieser Boom lässt sich nicht nur an den Erfolgen deutscher Radsportler bei internationalen Wettkämpfen festmachen, sondern auch an steigenden Teilnehmerzahlen bei Radsportveranstaltungen für Hobbysportler. Veranstaltungen wie das Radrennen „Rund um die Nürnberger Altstadt“ tragen dazu bei, den Radsport in all seinen Facetten einem breiten Publikum zu präsentieren und damit seine Beliebtheit weiter zu steigern. Ein solches Event über Jahrzehnte hinweg und allen Höhen und Tiefen des Profi-Radsports zum Trotz, lebendig, attraktiv und als riesiges Familienfest innerhalb der Altstadt zu gestalten – das ist ohne außerordentliches Engage- ment sowie großen sportlichen und persönlichen Einsatz nicht zu leisten. Daher gilt mein Dank an dieser Stelle allen ehrenamtlichen Helferinnen und Helfern, den zahlreichen Förderern und Partnern der Veranstaltung und natürlich nicht zuletzt dem Team des SportService – ihnen ist es gelungen über all die Jahre das Altstadtrennen zu einer festen Größe im Nürnberger Schöne Sportkalender zu machen und zu einer Veranstaltung, die stets die ge- lungene Synthese aus Leistungs- und Breitensport garantiert hat.
