Each of our kits are designed to ensure a trouble-free installation and long lasting performance. BK - Basic Kit: The Basic Bearing Kit is assembled for the fully stocked shop and includes only the basics for differential repair: pinion and carrier bearings, pinion seal, o-ring (where applicable), pinion nut, and crush sleeve. Our Basic Kit part numbers begin with the prefix BK. IK - Installation Kit: Our most complete kit, the Master Installation Kit comes complete with everything you’ll need to rebuild the center section of your differential. These kits include the following, as needed per application: pinion and carrier bearings, pinion seal, pinion shims, pinion nut, crush sleeve or depth shims, ring gear bolts (most applications), o-ring, gear marking compound & brush, Loctite, cover gasket or silicone, carrier or super shims, slingers & baffle, and installation instructions. Our Master Kit part numbers begin with the prefix IK. MK - Mini Kit: The Mini Kit is ideal for low mileage gear ratio changes and includes everything but the bearings, as needed by application: pinion seal, pinion shims, crush sleeve or depth shims, ring gear bolts, o-ring, gear marking compound & brush, Loctite, carrier or super shims, and installation instructions. Our Mini Kit part numbers begin with the prefix MK. PK - Pinion Kit: The Pinion Kit is ideal for low mileage gear ratio changes or for budget repairs when only pinion bearings are needed. The kits include pinion bearings, pinion seal, pinion shims, crush sleeve or depth shims & o-ring (where applicable). All of our Pinion Kit part numbers start with the prefix PK. IPK - Internal Parts Kit: The Spider Gear Kit or “IPK” replaces the internal differential components and includes side gears, pinion gears, side and pinion gear thrust washers, cross pin shaft, and cross pin bolt. Transfer Case Kit: The Transfer Case Kit is a complete bearing and seal rebuild kit and includes bearings, gaskets, seals, shift fork inserts and small parts (where applicable). West Coast Differentials Products Ring and Pinions: Our most popular ring and pinions carry the Sierra Gear label. These are reasonably priced and the highest quality aftermarket gear sets available. We have a complete inventory of OEM ring and pinion sets for Chrysler, Dana, Ford and GM axles. We also stock US Gear and Richmond Gear ring and pinion sets. Installation Kits: We package our own kits using only the very highest quality components, most of which are OEM. We have the most comprehensive line of the most complete kits in the industry. Differentials: West Coast Differentials stocks open differentials, limited slip or positraction differentials, and automatic and selectable locking differentials as well as spools. These are available from OEM manufacturers, Auburn Gear, ARB, Eaton, and others. Axles: We carry stock replacement axles and performance aftermarket axles. In stock replacement axles we have OEM and American made shafts, as well as high quality aftermarket shafts in the Sierra Gear line. Performance axles include chromoly and standard alloy shafts with stock or upgraded splines, as well as cut to fit shafts for custom housings. Third Members: West Coast Differentials can assemble third members for Chrysler 8.75”, Ford 8” and 9”, and various GM and Toyota axles. We will build them with any ratio, differential, housing and yoke available. Most will be assembled and shipped not later than the day after you order! This catalog includes listings for our most common parts and the most common differential applications. We also stock (but do not list in this catalog) individual bearings, seals, shims, internal parts, tools, used parts and parts for less common differentials. If you don’t see it, ask! SAFETY INFORMATION WARNING - Failure to follow these instructions could affect vehicle performance and/or safety and result in personal injury or death. • Do not convert or alter Spicer axles except in accordance with vehicle manufacturer's instructions. Spicer axles are designed to meet OEM vehicle manufacturer's design and performance specifications. Improper conversion or alteration of these axles can damage the axles and/or other vehicle systems. Contact the OEM manufacturer for specific directions and guidelines. • Do not change axle gear ratios on vehicles with anti-lock braking systems except in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's instructions. Vehicles with anti-lock braking systems may utilize sensors and tone rings within the axle housings to ensure the functioning of the anti-lock brakes. Improperly changing the axle ratios may defeat the anti-lock braking system. If changing axle ratios will require changing the location of the tone ring on the ring gear flange relative to the location of the sensor in the axle housing, contact the OEM manufacturer for specific directions and guidelines. • Do not reuse or substitute ring gear bolts. If you reuse a ring gear bolt or substitute an inferior quality bolt, the bolt may loosen or back out of its threaded hole, causing severe damage to the axle gears and other components and possibly resulting in a sudden "locking up" of the axle and loss of control of the vehicle.
