If you have suitable material which you would like to consign for future such auctions, please contact us for an appointment. This is preceded by a strong section of Cricket material featuring the extensive collection of Don Bradman memorabilia formed by Don Moyes. Other notable items include the first Sheffield Shield gold winner’s medal from 1892 won by Jack Worrall (who not only captained Victoria in cricket, but was also the very first Australian Rules football coach), as well as the earliest known Tasmanian cricket cap. Gary Watson [email protected] There is an excellent Football section to kick off the new season with items from nearly every club, including badges, jumpers, photographs, posters, and of course a selection of cigarette & trade cards. The Olympics offering is extensive, highlighted by a 1928 Australian Olympic Team ‘Baggy Green’ cap, and with a substantial 1956 Melbourne Games section. Under ‘Australiana’ you will find a wonderful Sydney Harbour Bridge collection with items ranging from kitsch to historic being offered substantially intact, and from a little further afield comes a volume of 1870s Fiji Times newspapers.

After another solid season in 2015, Merrett was promoted to the Essendon Leadership Group ahead of the 2016 season, and if he hadn’t already convinced the AFL world he was a genuine star in the making, his 2016 season put it beyond doubt. Merrett collected 657 possessions over the season, the most ever recorded by a Bomber’s player in one year. He went on to win the club Best and Fairest, and captained his side in the last few games of the season. In 2017 Merrett was named Vice-Captain of the Bombers, and continued his fine form from the previous year. He picked up his first selection in the All-Australian side, and in 2018 played his 100th game after barely missing a game since his debut. The classy midfielder will be one of the key players and leaders at Essendon for many years to come, as he looks to add to his already illustrious career. © TLA Worldwide 2020 TLAWorldwide.com Away from football Zach loves American sports and is learning more about business, self improvement and when time permits he heads back home to see his family with his beloved Golden Retriever Maya.
