Devi Navarathri Celebrations Wednesday, September 24th – Friday, October 03rd, 2014
At Shiva-Vishnu Temple, we will be celebrating Devi Navarathri (Sharan navarathri) event from Wednesday September 24th - Friday October 3rd 2014. The nine day event will be celebrated at Goddess Kanaka Durga Prayer Hall. Navarathri represents celebration of Goddess Durga, the manifestation of Deity in the form of Shakti [Energy or Power]. The Navarathri festival or ‘Nine Nights festival’ culminates with Vijaya Dasami. During Navarathri event, abhishekam will be performed for Goddess Kanaka Durga every day, adorned with special alamkaram every day and worshiped with religious fervor and devotion. On Friday, September 26th Kumkumarchana is planned for greater devotee participation. Please mark your calendars & plan on participating in all the events with family and friends and receive divine blessings.
