USC Price School of Public Policy (2017-present) • Responsible for delivering fully employed MPA graduate degree program in Sacramento (directly or indirectly supervise 3 staff); policy convenings • Led fundraising strategy for Sacramento; secured $560,000 in gifts in AY 2017-2018 • Reinvigorated and expanded advisory board, established “give or get” annual gift expectations and terms • Recruited self-supporting research faculty on civic engagement • Partnered with elected officials and California Asian Pacific Islander Legislative Caucus on legislative staff pipelining and leadership programs • Reorganized staffing pattern to increase productivity

UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs (August 2015-December 2016) • Responsible for annual budget of about $35m (50 senate faculty, 30 adjuncts/lecturers, and 75 staff FTE) • Met $3m fundraising target for AY 2015-2016 • Led strategic planning process for new schoolwide undergraduate degree, first schoolwide academic program in the history of the school • Established junior faculty grant writing group, which resulted in successful extramural grant proposals totaling about $2m • Recruited 6 new tenure track assistant professors • Retained 1 junior and 3 senior faculty with outside offers • Reorganized staffing pattern to increase productivity

Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (2015-2017) • Responsible for leading academic membership association with over 100 program/school institutional members; reported to elected Governing Board • Oversaw new effort to cultivate sponsorships • Restructured staff organization, and professionalized association policies and practices • Retained marketing firm to develop new logo, branding, and marketing plan • Restructured by-laws to reflect reorganization of association governance

Program evaluation using participatory research methods for the Asian Pacific-Islander AIDS Capacity and Technical Assistance Services (APACTS) program, a capacity building program that aims to increase existing systematic capacity for providing a comprehensive continuum of HIV/AIDS services for Asian Pacific Islanders (APIs) living in Los Angeles County by identifying and strategically addressing service gaps by targeting API serving organizations. Consultant, Guam Communications Network, Long Beach, CA, 2009. Needs assessment of hepatitis B awareness, testing, and vaccination to guide social marketing campaign. Adaptation of survey instrument originally designed by New York University National Center of Excellence for the Elimination of Hepatitis B Disparities (CEED); data entry, analysis, and presentation of findings.
