1. Vehicle Disassembly. 12mm Wrench (a) Remove the negative battery cable. Negative Battery Cable (Fig. 1-1) (1) Protect the fender before starting. (2) For automatic equipped vehicles, place the shifter in low gear and set the parking brake prior to disconnecting the battery. Fig. 1-1 (3) Be careful not to touch the positive terminal.

2. Piezo Buzzer Installation.

Side Cutter Tool (a) Using one large strip of foam tape and one large wire tie, secure the Piezo Buzzer to the vehicle's harness near the strut tower on the Large Foam Tape Large Wire Tie passenger side of the vehicle. 3. V3 Wire Harness Installation. (From Meter Panel area to Trunk area) Utility Knife, Electrical Tape FOR MATRIX MODELS ONLY. (Step a) (a) Cut the V3 harness' RED/WHITE wire, and 10P (White) (100mm) cover the end with electrical tape. V3 Harness (a) From the right side of the meter panel opening, route the V3 harness branch down towards the ignition key cylinder area and center console area. Secure it to the vehicle V3 Harness' Relay harness with one large wire tie, then secure

(c) Apply one piece of butyl tape as shown.

7. Antenna Wire Installation. (a) Remove the knock out cover or the Status Monitor immobilizer indicator (if equipped) in the cluster panel, first space from the right. Then insert the status monitor into the knockout space. (Fig. 8-1) (1) Do not scratch the panel.

9. Warning Label Installation. (a) Using 3MTM Prep Solvent–70 or Windex, Warning Label 10mm Line up with bottom clean the inside surface of the front door's of window etching windows. (Fig. 9-1) (b) Place the warning label on the inside surface of the front door's window as shown. (Fig. 9-1)

(2) Do not touch the adhesive surface of the warning labels. (3) Line up the labels properly and place them on the glass once; do not use a label that was pulled off the glass. (c) Attach the key tag to the remote control key's Remote Control ring. (Fig. 9-2) Key Ring 10. Completing the Installation (a) Complete the reassembly of the vehicle. (b) Reconnect any disconnected connectors.
