Co-op Store Opening

The Play Scheme is in its fifth year. There were approximately 14 young ones there, not as many as were at the Play Scheme at half terms, as more families go away during the summer holidays. I went down for two afternoons. The activities during the week included tent/den building, 3-drawings,

Club members are collected from their homes at approximately 10:45am and returned soon after 3:00pm. Volunteers are needed to help with the transport. We support local and international causes. Locally, we have promised money towards the building of the new cricket pavilion. We have also provided funds for the Golden Link Club, the WI, the Uniform Groups, the local churches, All Saints C of E Primary School, the Vernon Institute and the Saughall Colts Football Club. Beyond our village we have also made donations to international appeals, local hospices and charities, such as the Samaritans in Chester. On the home front, we continue to support wherever we can.
