SUMMARY OF OBSERVATION RECORDED AT 0830 HRS OF 07-08-2021: Available data indicates that light to moderate rainfall occurred at most places over the state Sikkim. Maximum temperature remained above normal by 2 to 3°C and Minimum temperature remained normal to above normal by 4°C over most of the stations in Sikkim. Highest Maximum temperature 35°C was recorded at Mazitar (East Sikkim) and lowest minimum temperature 17°C was recorded at Gyalsing (PTO) (West Sikkim).

RAINFALL RECEIVED SO FAR IN CM RECORDED AT 0830 HRS OF 07-08-2021: Mangan (PTO), Sankalan, Shipgyer, Gyalsing (PTO), Dentam: 2 each; , Chungthang, Singhik, Damthang, Yuksom : 1 each; SYNOPTIC SITUATION: The Low Pressure Area northern parts of East Madhya Pradesh & neighbourhood with associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 4.5 km above mean sea level persists. The Monsoon trough at mean sea level continues to pass through Bikaner, Jaipur, centre of Low Pressure Area over northern parts of Madhya Pradesh & neighbourhood, Daltonganj, Digha and thence east•southeastwards to northeast Bay of Bengal. The cyclonic circulation over & adjoining Bangladesh extending between 2.1 km & 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height persists. The western disturbance as a trough in mid•tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level roughly along Long.62°E to the north of Lat.32°N persists.
