In der Saison 2018/19 wird er, wie in der Spielzeit 2015/16, in dieser Doppelfunktion tätig sein. Die Assistenz-Trainer werden Jesse Marsch, zuvor Cheftrainer bei New York Red Bulls und Robert Klauß, bislang Cheftrainer der U19-Mannschaft von RBL. Zusätzlich bekommt der Trainerstab Unterstützung von Videoanalyst und Co- Trainer Lars Kornetka, welcher zuvor bei Bayer 04 Leverkusen war.
