POLYCLONAL ANTIBODY Anti-Pokemon/ ZBTB7/LRF Code No. Host Quantity JM-3791-100 Rabbit IgG 100 µl

BACKGROUND: Pokemon is a factor that has been identified by a large number of synonyms, including FBI-1 (Factor that Binds to Inducer of Short Transcripts (IST) protein 1), LRF (Leukemia/lymphoma Related Factor), ZBTB7 ( and BTB domain containing 7A), TIP-21 (TTF-1 interacting peptide 21), and OCZF (Osteoclast Derived Zinc Finger). Pokemon is inducible during both murine and human preadipocyte differentiation and may contribute to adipogenesis by influencing the switch from cellular proliferation to terminal differentiation. Pokemon associates with active and stimulates TAT-activated HIV-1 transcription through interactions with the HIV-1 long terminal repeat. 3T3L1 cells stably overexpressing Pokemon show a reduction in DNA synthesis and in expression of cyclin A, Cdk2, and p107.

PRODUCT: Supplied as 100 µl affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 30% glycerol, 1% BSA and 0.02% thimerosal.

IMMUNOGEN: The immunogen used was a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of human Pokemon protein.

SPECIFICITY: Recognizes the Pokemon protein in human and murine samples. Not tested in other species.

APPLICATIONS: The antibody can be used for Western blotting (1:500 – 1:2000) and immunoprecipitation However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.

STORAGE: Store the antibody at -20°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and freeze at -70°C. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.

INTENDED USE: For research use only. Not for human, diagnostic or therapeutic use.
