Notre monde, celui du football, ne connait pas de jours fériés, tout comme ceux de l’hô- tellerie, de la restauration, du spectacle, de la santé, de la police ou encore de la presse et bien d’autres. En effet, la Terre ne s’arrête pas de tourner ces jours-là et il faut bien que la vie continue. Pour revenir au football, une grande partie des matchs se jouent le dimanche, le jour hebdomadaire habituel de repos. Certains championnats vont même plus loin en programmant leurs matchs en priorité les jours fériés pour permettre aux familles de se rendre plus facilement au stade, comme en Angleterre lors du fameux Boxing Day.
