How to get to St Andrews? More specifics!
1. From Edinburgh Airport:
Free Shuttles:
Free Shuttles are provided for Sunday July 7, 2013 (between about 10 am and 7 pm), but you need to book your place! Please send us your name and time of arrival using the following email: [email protected] Closing date for booking your place: July 1, 2013.
By Train:
There is no railway station in St Andrews. The nearest railway station to St Andrews is Leuchars (5 miles) on the main line from London King's Cross via Edinburgh.
By Bus:
If you arrive on a day other than Sunday, you will need to take two busses:

By Cab:
If you arrive on Sunday after 8pm, you will need to take a taxi. Your best deal is to book with St Andrews Direct. You need to book your taxi at least 5 days ahead. The maximum price per cab is £60. 2. From London:
If you fly into London, there is also the option to boarding the Eastcoast train at King’s Cross Station in London and exit at Leuchars station in Scotland.
