Background Information

The Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) is the federal government's body for national and international matters concerning education, research and innovation policy. SERI commissioned ETH Zurich as Leading House for the S&T collaboration with countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Dr. Mauro Dell'Ambrogio, State Secretary for SERI, will open the workshop and Mr. Thomas Kupfer, the Swiss Ambassador to Singapore, will close it. ETH Zurich, one of the leading international universities for technology and the natural sciences, will host the workshop at its Singapore ETH Centre SEC. SEC itself is a good example of bilateral collaboration between Singapore and . ETH Zurich’s Future Cities Laboratories will be visited as part of the workshop. Back-to-back to the workshop swissnex Singapore will celebrate its 10th anniversary as the Swiss agency promoting collaborative innovation, science, education, and entrepreneurship.
