We are heading into August and that means the busy second half of the competition season is ap- proaching soon. So now is the time to get busy per- Florida Bar-B-Que Association fecting those time lines and making adjustments to Board of Directors your sauces. While some teams and judges have used this summer as a break others have been busy travel- President ing the country always looking for a chance to perfect Ben Purvis skills. Matt Barber of Hot Wachulas has enjoyed a successful few weeks picking up a Grand Champion and a Reserve Grand recently. Lee [email protected] and Amanda from Pig-Chicka-Cow-Cow also picked up another Grand

Vice President Championship this month. That makes 7 GC for Lee and Amanda and most importantly gives them an automatic entry into the Jack Daniels Ed Shemanski Invitational. Congrats to them on a major accomplishment. [email protected] We have been adding some new contests recently and another Treasurer contest has changed their date so be sure to keep a check on the website Shelby Lomen often as we add new opportunities for you to judge or compete. [email protected] Looking ahead just a bit. We are starting to plan the Fun Cook Secretary and we can never have too many volunteers. Finally this year 4 positions will be up for election on our Board of Directors, President, Secretary, and 2 Director Director positions.  Combine the egg yolks, pimento cheese spread, mayonnaise, cream cheese, Dijon mustard, diced pimentos, paprika, salt, garlic powder, and Worces- tershire sauce in a food processor.
