On October 31st, Falconbridge Pickleball Players held a socially distanced birthday party for Ralph Balzac, who turned 90. Ralph is a much-loved pickleball player and was celebrated by about two dozen of his pickleball friends. Cindy Piontak made birthday cupcakes, and we had balloons and posters. Ralph and his sister sat in the places of honor as he opened his pickleball gifts. Ralph received a pickleball tee shirt, a new paddle and bag, balls, masks and eye patches, a hat and several other pickleball items. At 90 years old, Ralph shows the community that everyone can play pickle- ball! And at the other end of the player age group … remember, the Falconbridge Pickleball Players are starting a junior group for neighborhood kids and grandkids ages 8 and over, and registration is now open. Details are in the November Bridge, or for more infor- mation contact BJ Attwood at [email protected].

Fit For Life Outdoor Class Moves to Pop Up Format Fit for Life will continue having Saturday Zoom classes as we did in November, but the weekly outdoor in-person class on the pool deck will begin a weath- er-dependent “Pop Up” plan. Each Sunday we will look at the week’s weather and decide if there’s a day that is warm and dry enough to meet. Group members will get an email each Sunday.
