Sales in Russia through first seven months of 2008:
A total of 5,646 Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge vehicles sold. During the first seven months of 2008 the sales have grown 71% compared with the same period of last year; already surpassing total calendar year sales for 2007. The total market of foreign car brands grew 46% in the first seven months of 2008 vs. the seven months figure of 2007. The Russian market achieved the most significant sales growth in Europe for Chrysler and became the Company’s ninth largest market outside North America. Chrysler. Sales grew 22% and reached 977 vehicles. Top sellers are Chrysler 300C and the new D- segment Sebring sedan. Sales of the new Grand Voyager began in June. Jeep. 1,863 vehicles sold. Sales dynamics reached a record of 58% as compared to the same period in 2007. The sales are topped by the new medium-sized economic Liberty (Patriot in the U.S.) and by Grand Cherokee. Dodge. During the first seven months the brand has accounted for 50% of the entire Chrysler LLC sales in Russia, led by the Dodge Caliber. A total of 2,806 Dodge cars were sold, which is 112% more than in the similar period of 2007.
