2 Stop Loan Sharks - Dave Monk, Illegal Money Lending Team LIAISE Officer for Devon and Cornwall Presentation given – contact details and slides to go out with notes. TD www.stoploansharks.co.uk [email protected] Questions raised as to types of situation – team gets involved if money has been exchanged. Concerns re vehicle exchanges etc – advise Trading Standards [email protected] Hidden crimes – interlinked problems. Emphasise report/encourage people to come forward – victim support/education and guidance/mental health support is available. They visit schools educate and work with CAB. All resources provided are free. Posters/leaflets/flyers can be provided as well as talks. Thank you to Dave for attending.

3 Cornwall Council Update - Mel O’Sullivan, Service Director and Monitoring Officer and Panel SLT Rep • Update given on current situation. • Emphasise messaging follow lockdown rules. • Dedicated Enforcement Team working 7 days a week & Street Marshalls in place. • Explanation of Council objectives and recovery groups. • Clinically Extremely Vulnerable (CEV) helpline 0800 1233334 • Food Security – funds left to support intelligence work. Concerns raised re people housed in travel lodges and no cooking facilities. This has been escalated and being looked at this week. • Crisis Care Award Grants available – more support for food – Lets Talk Cornwall webpage (see link below). TD advised Community Chest can be used for items/equipment – groups can apply. • Free School Meals – food hampers not going out. • Economic Recovery grants available – apply by end Jan.

5 Community Networks Highways Scheme TD updated Panel on current position Year 4 TD has written to all Panel Members, Clerks and CC Members as the rest of the scheme funding needs to be committed by March 2022. As the process is time consuming 12 months is needed to ensure spend. TD updated on meeting with Rachel Tatlow. Panel agreed the following: • Feasibility study Par Moor Road, Harbour Road, Par Green. • Polvillion Road, Fowey parking issues • Hill – VAS installation. • KR requested more obvious turning signs on Penpillick Hill. ACTION: TD to feedback to Highways/Rachel Tatlow. • CM can list be amended re double yellows in Lostwithiel? TD advised may need separate TRO but feasibility study may show necessary amendments. TD

6 Public Participation Nothing to report.

7 Round Table Updates & Feedback from Cornwall Cllrs St Blaise – RT (St Blaise TCl) Emergency plan concerns – MOS clarified. Lostwithiel – CC CM Health Scrutiny Cttee looking at Pandemic Preparedness. Govt is in process of redesigning – Public Health – so hoping will be a lot more locally focussed. Lanlivery - KR All ok. St Veep - MT All ok.

Fowey: RF Part pedestrianisation explained. Town Revitalisation Fund can be used to support TD ACTION: TD to feedback issues getting TRO to Highways Manager/Cornwall Council. St Blazey – CC PG – Great success with 50 Christmas dinners/Boxing Day gift boxes issued. Now part of Fair Share so have a freezer to fill with meals ready for people in need to collect. Live Saturday cookery slot working well.
