The money comes from the E. Polk Kellam Foundation Fund at the Hampton Roads Foundation. E. Polk Kellam (inset) was Caramine Kellam’s father and the founder of a hospital foundation. The funds are earmarked for the Heart Center at the new hospital near Onley. The center will be named after Dr. Lloyd J. Kellam III, the area’s long-time cardiologist. It will combine all cardiopulmonary services on the first floor, where Dr. Kellam also will have his offices.
